CAN SOME ONE CONFIRM IF THIS FILE WORKS AS I AM STILL GETTING NO SOUND OFF IT, BUT I DO GET SOUND ON THE ONE FURTHER DOWN THE THREAD Meanwhile, this should be a sound file of the 'new' version, see what you think (keep trying to add it and nothing happens so apologies if it suddenly turns up 3 times!)

Bit difficult as I don't know what it's worth in any condition, if only someone would bring out a soul price guide last time I had it it was a blue label and I sold it for £40, that was about 4 years ago..

Just got this on the yellow Dontee label - came off Ebay, guy listed the wrong side anyway I thought this was on a blue label, anyone know if it's worth more or less on the yellow label?

I'll send it up in a minute mate, see what you think, yes the other version is great but with these different backing vocals I think it just edges it. I've got the rocksteady version on UK Doctor Bird and the pressing isn't too bad really.

Wow, this is absolutely brilliant, some of you may know this from a Trojan compilation called Work Your Soul, it was originally an unreleased track on a US Heartbeat cd which I put them onto years ago, anyway I have a found a vinyl version and it's a totally different take; different lead vocals, extra female backing vocals and even the label looks ultra-cool. Will send a sound clip up later. n.b. this is a soul track, not reggae

Thank you John, there were loads and loads of unknowns on those tapes I used to do, Steve Jeffries took over the mantle really nowadays, having said that I listened to a few the other day and they were shockingly bad: Mally Page, Christine Holmes, Robbie Royal, Deano for goodness sake

Hello. I discovered this record in 1992. It came out of Vinyl Solution in Brighton. I reviewed it in Beatin Rhythm around issue 7 and got it into the Record Collector Price Guide. It was also me who found out she was Jackie Lee. This is fact, honestly. 13 years ago this was.

This is impossible really because many tracks are not discovered by dj's, they are known to collectors first how tip the dj's off - for instance, The Champion is always associated with John Vincent but it wasn't him who discovered it...

Not even looked but I bet it's BILL Kenwright, the theatre guy. He had a couple of singles in the mid 60's.
