  1. I'm not sure about this idea of turning records into ashtrays. Surely, if you flick your cigarette into a melted record, the ash would escape through the centre hole and therefore be a health hazard. There is also the chance that the smell of burning vinyl could affect your central nervous system. Therefore I ask that the moderators ban BillytheBoot for encouraging such stupid and dangerous practises
  2. No, there's no such record :graynone:
  3. No I can't mate, too busy, still recording dvd's, while doing a tape for the car and trying to get tracks ready for the next lot of acetates to be cut! I'll be back after 6..
  4. I've got Carletta. Honestly don't remember it sounding anything like a Harthon production though. Steve if you want it I'll dig it out but it's on a tape so I'd have to tape it, convert to cd, transfer to pc, make into mp3, post it up, so actually forget everything I just said, I haven't got it.
  5. I wasn't trying a wind up, I never liked it 30 years ago and I don't like it now, it's just a very average song and I find it boring.
  6. This is a real second rate dancer which had about 2 weeks of popularity in 1976 before it was bootlegged. I can't believe it's taken off again. The Artistics £10 version is almost identical. SWONS
  7. No wonder it's f*cking unissued
  8. Northern Soul Re-issus 45s - Click here for more new stock in this genre. FOSTER, EDDIE I NEVER KNEW I WILL WAIT IN £100.00 M Am I missing something here? I'd sell that for £5!
  9. What, groundbreaking by being the biggest pile of shit ever played up to that point? For paving the way for hundreds of tenth rate disco records to ruin the northern scene? You know what you can do with your blowtorch...
  10. How could I forget this? Put me down for The Carstairs too
  11. Off the top of my head, I think it's the backing tradk to one of the Bernard Williams track on Harthon and was put out by Soul Bowl in around 75 - don't think there is a 60's original
  12. Nice little selection that
  13. Mike McDonald - God Knows
  14. Inspirations aka Sunlovers
  15. This was in the reggae section, thought someone on here might be interested, it's pretty good https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4716413454&rd=1
  16. I've never seen an original of this. Crap though innit? Screeching wailing mess of a record.
  17. OK let's rephrase that. As far as I know, the first review of this record was by me. How's that? p.s. it was in 1967
  18. Melody innit?
  19. £50 tops. Bootleg is practically identical minus the proper stamp. Great record.
  20. Those booklets were called "The New Singles" and when I worked for Music Master I had an almost complete run of them. Actually I photocopied them all and made them into a book but that's long gone. Interestingly, they do have The Volumes on Pama as a new release in that booklet (no one's ever seen one). That Timi Yuro price is about right, another of my discoveries by the way did you see that post I sent the other day that I had the original studio acetate of it that wen5t on 20 seconds longer than the single? Do people collect just British? Yes, but you get to a point when there's nothing left to collect and your collection is rammed with useless pop records
  21. I'd never have gussed who you were til I saw that email address didn't want to ask, wanted to work it out, I was obviously wrong with my guess of Bernard Manning
  22. That version of Investigate is by David 'King' Thomas on Jet Stream and is the original version...great track
  23. Len Barry's was definitely the first but I remember having that Sarah Vaughn version, I think it was on an Australian EP with a version of Lovers Concerto as well!
