  1. If you're wearing a blindfold and sunglasses
  2. Hey I wasn't far off then
  3. Bloomin one hit wonders
  4. n.b. obviously not an unknown as it's in both Brown and Manships price guides (35 and 100 quid respectively) but both have it as being on the BRA label. Seriously.
  5. You're too clever for your own good matey yes it's Byron Lee & The Dragonaires (vocals Ken Lazarus) thats the exact label credit, on Jamaican SOUL label. I got this today for $5 along with another track on the SOUL label, the fabulous Wide Awake In A Dream by Philip James (Blues Busters) which as you know I have on Island cos I sent it up a few weeks back but I think I'll sell the Island copy now. That was $5 as well. Got me 70 Jamaican 45's, half ot them blanks, but everything is ska or rocksteady so I am saving them for tonight, have a little session.
  6. I don't think it's worth anywhere near 700 - in fact 400 is a bit much now that copies turned up - I'd have said 300
  7. Might be known, might not be...I don't know..I know of 2 versions that are well known but this is the first time I've heard this.
  8. I was being sarcastic
  9. Yes I have a large collection of photographs of men I don't know, I'll see if I can help you
  10. Bit of nail polish on the b side will stop the crack spreading. If it's a 70's record I'd recommend a sledgehammer.
  11. It's Christopher Biggins and Joey Deacon I think
  12. I've never sold it for more than 50. Last one about 10 months back, from Crispie's collection.
  13. I was just gonna say that
  14. It's rare alright, easy £75, but nobody collects LP's apparently...I remember a couple of years trying to sell a UK copy of the Major Lance Columbia LP and I had to drop it from £120 to £50 to sell it..
  15. Yeah you told us 5 times already
  16. I can't make much sense of this are you saying it's a UK release on Gemini? That was a short lived weird label with some prog, folk and pop releases. Robin Sylvester was a session bassist and still is I think. So in answer to your question - no.
  17. Makro sell this box containg two turntables and a mixer for £100. Same thing is £200 in HMV. Not exactly top of the range but for using at home it's perfectly good, also Richer Sounds do a good cheap amp by Acoustic Solutions, all this is great for tatting about at home. Get a standalone cd recorder for £150 or so.
  18. Are you familiar with the word BINATONE ??
  19. George Lemons - Fascinating girl Carstairs - It really hurts me girl James Coit - Black power
  20. There's a black label vinyl boot then a yellow label one which some people try and pass off as original, except on the label it mentions Soul Galore
  21. Stuck on label is a boot, moulded label is real
  22. Yeah it's quite rare on original...boots on black and light blue labels though
  23. He resurfaced last year and sold his collection via flyers left out at the 100 Club...I know Mick Smith had a lot of them. How long did the Locarno go on for then, I stopped going in 1979 because they switched it to the Top Of The World, Stafford, I got so fed up of the police pulling me in every time I went that I packed it in altogether
  24. Dear William £40 £75 £40 cheers Pete
