  1. OK well apologies, you know I have a bad memory for prices: however, I'd be very surprised if it were more than £200. Was about 3 years ago I think wasn't it Andy? Bloody nice copy though, can't remember how I came by it even.
  2. I still say there's no old style logo on this and if anyone's going to know it's Mick Smith, and he reckons there isn't one either.
  3. I met this guy about 5 years ago, when I used to go pick the post up from the p.o. box in Hastings...anyway he saw I was picking up records and we got chatting, he says he's a member of the band Ruperts People, so I said what, this new incarnation, and he says no, the original band. Anyway I got his name and number, went home and looked them up, no way was he in the original band. Then he came round my house and gave me a poster for Ruperts People playing live in Israel in 1968! Said I could have it. I said which one are you, and he points at one member who looks nothing like him. Anyway I gave him a lovely US Bell issue of Reflections for it, stuck it on Ebay, got £80. I still don't know if he really was in the band or not but if not, how did he get the poster??
  4. That is a fantastic record. Think they only did 2 singles then disappeared.
  5. That is a moot point actually because before entering the word I did a search and it came up with the way I spelt it first. So there. Coffin dodger
  6. Go and play your 70's disco shite you salad dodging porrage jockey
  7. This In The Know is obviously familiar with certain soccer hooligan websites
  8. Who cares? It's great anyway!
  9. You what??
  10. Apart from the 1500 people who've seen it on here
  11. Jeezus Mike - how much? I got £100 for my copy of Gloria...
  12. I'd say you were right on Bill Griffin - at one time it was double that but it's hard to sell and not as rare as was once thought
  13. I don't bid on soul records Mikey, I like people to tell me what they want for them and if it's a fair price I pay it - same as I do when I sell records to people - I've put offers on maybe 5 out of 5000 of my own records in the last 7 years, and those were usually because I didn't know what they were worth, if anything.
  14. Larry Wright isn't worth 500 let alone 1000
  15. No reason why that shouldn't be legit. What makes you think it isn't?
  16. Nobody's saying Micky Moonshine is a soul record comparable with your selections - but it was a good NORTHERN SOUL record in it's day and that can't be denied just because the climate has changed and the singer has to be a blind crippled poor mans son from a backstreet in Detroit recording on a label that could only afford to press 3 copies of his record.
  17. So in other words he's saying ooh look at all my fantastic records which none of you lot can afford
  18. You should be able to get 4 copies of The Masqueraders "How" for £1000...three anyway. I swear a lot of people reading this site have no idea how many copies of these records are around. Last one I bought was £125, less than 3 years ago.
  19. Ruby is about £400 on GT, ££250 on Take 6 now that people have wised up to the fact that the quality is shocking
  20. This guy isn't fit to change Andy Williams' colostomy bag!
  21. You don't mean that. In all these years I can't remember hearing anything remotely as bad as that. My hearts Symphony is 100% pure soul compared to that. And it's not just because I'm biased against modern - the guy is a sub-pub singer p.s. 4-2

    Bah! Humbug

Bit strange that, I've seen Chcuk Wood go for 25, 30 quid easy...
