Judy Clay - You Busted My Mind - Was It Booted ?

I think it was reissued on the multicoloured Scepter label - red and black ones are originals -
I'm sure someone asked me about this last week...yes they did....a track credited to Slim Smith which I knew was Dave Barker...it's called I Feel Alive, see if this is it
-
Is that definitely the right title Andy?
-
My first copy of Lost Soul - Secret Of Mine had a straight edge label - same label as that one (Raven)
-
I'd never trust a record with a barcode on the label...it means it was manufactured in quantity

Demo of Judy Street on Grapevine for £100 buy it now Ebay lost the link though
-
Why, are they scared to agree in public?
-
I don't want to hear dj's giving us their life story, I just want to know the artist and title of the record, not too much to ask is it?
-
That link takes me to my own ebay page
-
Mine isn't a "list", it was the first records I could think of off the top of my head, the first ones that came to mind. They don't represent anything apart from they are records that I think are classics.
-
Sent PM at 9.15 hope you got it ok
-
I think issue £50 demo £75 but agree with the second part of the statement. Nobody on this site is daft enough to pay over a ton.
-
Sort of agree but people do need to know what the records are
-
He added it onto this one

Northern Soul Memorabilia, Memberships, Patches Etc

I don't have anything left, sorry.. -
Thread on this one elsewhere by Carl Dixon who I think actually produced it!
-
There's a record that got a few spins in 77 called Where Do I Go by The Beas, came out on UK Pama, A side of that is also a version of Dr Goldfoot And The Bikini Machine.
-
Yeah I would too if I had the motivation Russ. You would never have found anyone more anti-oldies than me in the Wigan days, I hated M's, I hated Evisons oldies spot, and the Friday night oldies ruined many a decent saturday. It was a) the introduction of more 70's records and b) love, that eventually stopped me going!
-
That's good, but not exceptional though. Same as an awful lot of unissued cuts - they're not as good as, or are inferior to records already released on those artists, the RCA things in particular - Today Is My Day is good, but not a patch on I'll Always Need You. And I know I'm to get some right stick for this but in a lot of cases, the sound quality is simply too good to the point that the sound can become a bit sterile. I'm not asking it to be inaudible mono, just not CD quality stereo.
-
Don't know if I'm included in that above but there are hundreds and hundreds of great records discovered since the 70's, I am not stuck in a Wigan time warp as my collection, DJ spots (when I did them) sales and podcasts prove. I would not enjoy a night of Tempos and Younghearts, I'd need to hear really good newies as well. I just like the newies to be of the 'old school' type sound thats all.
-
Not at the moment, but if there was one, then maybe people might go?
-
It's definitely Linda Griner. Can't tell you much else. I knew about the UK issue but don't remember having it.
