  1. Convert the file to mp3 first Ted
  2. Reduced???? p.s. which version?
  3. A very good point Jeff. Anyway, if I was selling it, I'd ask £150. Maybe £175, but it wouldn't sell.
  4. 23) RHYTHM & BLUES FROM THE VAULTS - MORE LEGENDS OF RARE SOUL & R&B Here's another phenomenal collection of super-rare clips from the vaults. Very few of these have appeared on any compilation before. And remember, these are clips from the actual time of broadcast, not 80's, 90's or recent re-recordings. MUDDY WATERS - I'M YOUR HOOCHIE COCCHIE MAN MUDDY WATERS - GOT MY MOJO WORKIN' MAHALIA JACKSON - WHEN THE SAINTS INEZ ANDREWS - WHAT LOVE INEZ ANDREWS - OH MARY DON'T YOU WEEP THE CADIALLACS - SPEEDO ETTA JAMES - GOOD ROCKIN' DADDY ETTA JAMES - I'M THROUGH WITH YOU ETTA JAMES - ROLL WITH ME HENRY LITTLE ANTHONY - SHIMMY SHIMMY KO KO BOP THE DIXIE CUPS - CHAPEL OF LOVE FANKIE FORD - SEA CRUISE DEE DEE SHARP - MASHED POTATOES LITTLE RICHARD - TUTTI FRUTTI THE SUPERBS - BABY BABY ALL THE TIME THE CHIFFONS - NOBODY KNOWS WHAT'S GOIN ON JOHNNIE & JOE - OVER THE MOUNTAIN BOBBY DAY - ROCKIN' ROBIN SAM COOKE - CHA CHA CHA JIMMY JONES - HANDY MAN GENE CHANDLER - DUKE OF EARL GENE CHANDLER - NOTHING CAN STOP ME THE IMPRESSIONS - IT'S ALRIGHT THE IMPRESSIONS - WOMAN'S GOT SOUL THE C.O.D.'S - MICHAEL DEE DEE SHARP - I REALLY LOVE YOU KIM WESTON - TAKE ME IN YOUR ARMS KIM WESTON - A LITTLE MORE LOVE JIMMY RUFFIN - SINCE I LOST YOU JIMMY RUFFIN - L.O.V.E. MEANS LOVE FONTELLA BASS - RESCUE ME THE MARVELETTES - PLEASE MR. POSTMAN THE MARVELETTES - SWINGIN' TIME THE TEMPTATIONS - GET READY THE TEMPTATIONS - BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP JR. WALKER - WHAT DOES IT TAKE JAMES BROWN - OUT OF SIGHT ARETHA FRANKLIN - ONE STEP AHEAD THE FOUR TOPS - REACH OUT I'LL BE THERE THE MAD LADS - COME CLOSER TO ME THE FLIRATATIONS - WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT GOODBYE TAJ MAHAL - AIN'T THAT A LOT OF LOVE I think I'd only seen maybe 4 of these clips previously; the Marvelettes, Kim Weston, Temptations and Jr Walker clips are all from different sources to the usual ones (e.g. Take Me In Your Arms is NOT from Hullabaloo, as are many others. The Jimmy Ruffin clip is phenomenal. Plus I found the second Flirtations promo from the master tape, recorded at Tintern Abbey once again but this time they have on pink trouser suits instead of evening dresses! 42 tracks on here, that's more than double that are on any previous discs of a similar nature. 24) THE ATLANTIC RECORDS STORY - plus - BBC OMNIBUS DOCUMENTARY "CURTIS MAYFIELD" Two for the price of one here. The Atlantic records Story is a superb documentary shown on Channel 4 a few years back. It traces the history of the label right up to date and has some stunning rare footage of the greatest acts, from ray Charles and Big Joe Turner through Aretha and the Stax sounds, and Led Zepplin and onwards. The Curtis Mayfield documentary is a special recorded by the BBC not long before Curtis death in 1999. It's a great look back on his career but also pretty sad, especially the last few years. Anyway both programs run for around an hour each. £7.50 each. PM me.
  5. Was going by the Vocal groups book - says they aren't...
  6. Great record though and very rare on issue. Maybe not THAT rare but still a tough one.
  7. The group on Eastern are a different group to the one on Dial, but even so, I am also of the opinion that Gareth needs help with his hearing so am thinking of going on a sponsored whinge to help pay for a new hearing aid. What do you mean you thought I was already on one. Magnificent Men were a terrific group as well though.
  8. Has anyone told him - between us, I bet we could put that collection together within an hour
  9. Not telling you nothing til you learn how to spell label
  10. Never went there but those records were being played at the same time at a place called "Sammies" actually St Giles Youth Club in Wiilenhall which had a cracking allnighter - top dj's from all over the UK, brilliant sounds, they even had their own cloth badges made. Did I dream all this or did anyone else go? I was 15, I can't believe my parents let me walk from Wolverhampton to Willenhall at just before midnight, let alone attend the allnighter.
  11. No. Also, they only used half the track, put the psyechedlic soul noise in the middle then restarted it from the beginning!
  12. It was late 76 that it got played Gene, and I have to tell you, I don't remember anyone questioning it at the time as it absolutely rammed the dancefloor...for 2 weeks, after that it got pressed and disappeared Earl Wright was actually Pretty Purdie from a Columbia lp (I think) "Soul Drums". The Royal Vibes is brilliant though
  13. I found 3705anthony but he's not selling anything??
  14. God I'm bored, it's only 9.38, I think I'm gonna go to bed. Night John Boy.
  15. Christ it's my worst nightmare come true, it was bad enough on a 7" but they did a 12" as well???
  16. I think I've got this?
  17. Well let's hope so shall we 10th rate rubbish
  18. What the fucking hell are you talking about? Oh, you think I'LL is the same as using text speak like M8 do you? You live a very very sad life, isn't there a mountain near you that you can explore?
  19. Knowledgable
  20. No, thats the Magnificent Men
  21. Bloody hell - that is brilliant!
  22. I don't think there are two boots Dazz, just the one, the label is perfect but see above for the rest. The NB would just be a radio station stampo or something anyway. I have only ever seen one copy of this on original, in a small 45 box in Pep's shop the week after it was booted, I think it was £30 then!
  23. Never heard of any of them
  24. Yeah and get Gene Robertson in as well...and take on all comers
