  1. Last one - this is the 'other' Temptones cover up - thanks to Greg for the recording
  2. 9th - this is hilarious - someone has speeded it up but so fast that the backing singers sound like chipmunks
  3. 6th - this is listed as being Soul Fry but I think they meant Soul Fay?
  4. 5th - this is the one that Gash was trying to identify the other day but his version sounded like it was recorded from outside a venue. I can guarantee that this is an LP track, definitely.
  5. 4th - now this one is so familiar that I think I must actually have it or have had it, I may be wrong but someones bound to know what this is...I'm gonna kick myself
  6. I needed to find All My Loving by Prince Buster for a compilation and I remembered taping it when I owned a copy, so it meant a few hours in the garage trying to find it amongst literally hundreds of tapes. Anyway I did find it but I also found a tape just labelled as 'cover ups' so I thought I'd post a few up here to see if they ever became popular or uncovered or whatever. Some are good, some are crap. This is the first one.
  7. You were robbed
  8. Found this from one of my lists, November 2002, I didn't mention the organ! DEREK MARTIN - IF YOU GO - SUE EX £35 DEREK MARTIN - IF YOU GO - SUE EX- £25 No you're not seeing things, this is listed twice because there are two different versions which nobody ever seems to mention...the first one listed has the white Sue logo and is a more "Motown" sound with much more accent on the tambourine. The second has the black Sue logo and is a mellower mix. Both are brilliant but the first version is incredible.
  9. Atco label. It's B side to "Score" which was the theme to a football show. Almost always shows up as a double sided promo with the wrong track on both sides. I thought I once had a double sided demo but now I think I might have dreamed it. I sold that copy in 1978 and didn't get another one til about 1999 - I think I may have sold it to Steve Cee. It would probably only sell for maybe £50 but I'd pay that in a second to be honest. It really is very rare. Failing that, I'll cut you one
  10. You should, bargains galore. Am I the only sane one left????

    Price?

£60 if you are very lucky - I'd have said £50 tops, must have been a sizeable hit in Detroit cos they are everywhere.
  12. Careful. Some of the boots weren't dinked so they have solid centres - I've had one and Mick has had one. They have scratched in numbers though so still easy to tell. I sold my last (proper) one to Ian Levine for £120.
  13. Just because you see overpriced records in boxes doesn't mean anything. I've dealt in British for 20 years almost so I'm not guessing. You tell a real expert like Mick Smith that the record is worth £250 and he'll just laugh at you.
  14. If you'd like to put money on that I'll have a demo within 2 weeks and it won't have cost £150. I sold 2 demos last year for £125 each.
  15. Another good program for recording streaming audio of any type is called WM Recorder 10. I got this from off the net the other day and it's good. You just click on the properties of the file you want, it'll usually be a www. address, paste the address into a box and click record, it goes to the file and records it to your hard disk. I think I have a crack for this as well.
  16. Right, well you can tell what version you have by the label design - if the Sue logo is either white or black...unfortunately I can't remember which is which! One version is really driving, the other not so - both great though. Having said that, I'd still only ask £40 for it.
  17. Thats a question we've all been asking since he started running his auctions!
  18. See if you can find a program called Acoustica mp3 to wav converter, I think that will convert basically anything. If you can't find it, I'll send you it
