Evil's a great northern dancer, who cares if it's not soul? Doesn't remind me of Wigan though, reminds me of Birmingham Locarno.
Nice to see Dave McCadden has escaped
That was a reference to a discussion we had on here about 3 months back where only two of us preferred the Stemmons Express song. It's 100 times better than Such Misery I reckon.
I can't be bothered chasing those people so I just block them from bidding on any future auctions - still got about 25 records to be paid for from sales at the weekend!
I listen to a lot of this stuff when on the pc, it can get a bit repetitive but then so can most music...but that thing by JB Hutto, I could listen to that all day
Bit more R&B (in the old sense of the word)
P.S. who did the original version of Daddy Rolling Stone, I've got it on a cd but no name on it...sounds like late 40's
Got to be a different group I would have thought Chrissie. Are the Hawks who played with Ronnie Hawkins the same as the Hawks (aka The Band) who played with Bob Dylan?? I know the latter were originally called Levon & The Hawks and they had a single on UK Atlantic (The Stones That I THrow)
I have a copy of The Precisions - Such Misery - Drew in EX for sale at £40 if anyone wants it. As you know this is the inferior version of the Stemmons Express
Actually near mint but with a few light marks on the vinyl.
Don't matter where it came from mate, I'm telling you the truth, yours is gold, the original is olive, much darker with hard to read red lettering. Looks nothing like that one of yours.
