  1. Surely can't be more than £25 can it? Theres as many of those about as there is Eddie Parker on Googa Mooga - all from Lorraine Chandler originally (apparently/supposedly)
  2. Agree with you 100% Dan, I always sell this for £50 to £80 depending on issue/demo and condition. I remember buying like 4 copies off Times Square and LEAVING I Don't Know About You because it was 'the wrong one'
  3. No. You are making it up.
  4. Metal Box - Public Image Ltd 1979 Hunky Dory - David Bowie 1971 Reggae Chartbusters vol 1 - various artists 1969 Northern Floorshakers - Various Artists 1982 Beatles Love Songs
  5. Another couple like that: mickie champion - what good am I - I thought ti was a bloke pee wee shuck & huey - besides myself - can't tell if male or female I also originally thought tobi legend was a bloke...
  6. Who does, apart from (the late) Teddy Randazzo?
  7. Four Tops doesn't count either...Probe
  8. I think the clue was in the name "Anthony"
  9. That one has also got Johnny Nash - I'm Leaving on there
  10. "The Stranger" - good track that
  11. You're right about that album, I've never seen a copy - ever. I thought Change Your Ways was on Funky Bottom Congregation but if it's not then it's on Just A Little Bit Of Soul. Blowing Up My Mind is on one of those two, as well as the aforementioned Herb Ward atrocity - in my all time top 5 worst records that one.
  12. Totally - started off with the words "Theres a ghost in my house" like you say, instead of the intro, the single is miles better
  13. But that version of Ghost was totally different to the one on the single, though I think this actually started off at The Cats from the lp..
  14. There's a good Contours one - this is where they discovered Baby Hit And Run. What else, Stevie Wonder - Uptight, the fantastic Four Tops - I Can't Help Myself lp (not a duff track on there), a good Mary Wells one (My Guy), a Martha & The Vandellas one with One Way Out which everyone snapped up when it went big in 77...a Jimmy Ruffin one with Lonely Lonely Man AM I...shall we try and do a discography?
  15. The bootleg of DD is plain cream and dark brown, the original has more colour on the label, sorry I'm trying to remember it exactly but can't...60 quid top whack but hard to sell.
  16. Alright what about these unimaginative dj's had been asked to play aformentioned Ace Spectrum and did so as a request...not really fair to slag them off for it or say that they shouldn't play requests is it?
  17. One from 1975, no date but probably very early 75.. shawn robinson jades fidels earlw right linda jones timothy wilson tobi legend silhouettes don't pretend instrumental in crowd? paula rousell! frankie valli dalton james & sutton sweet talking guy inst one from october 76 willie mitchell matt lucas popcorn wylie bobby hutton johnny williams (misunderstanding) jay & americans ronnie mcneir mystic moods french fries billy woods yum yums mvp's gentlemen & their lady norma jenkins adams apples roscoe & friends rain
  18. My sides just split
  19. Yeah ok - I'll find one of each...give me half an hour
  20. Shall I dig out a random c90 from 1977 and see what it tells us???
  21. Yes I believe it was Steve, at a percentage of around 98% 60's and 2% 70's.
  22. The main room where they played the big sounds of the day.
  23. Yeah I told em you'd make your standard Soul Sam post and 20 seconds later you did. That means you owe me £10.
  24. Er, because a) there's a separate modern room and hardly anyone wants to hear it and c) how would the modern crowd react if someone played a 50's r&b track in 'their' room?
  25. See, what did I tell you
