  1. You must be seriously ill
  2. I like jungle
  3. I like that Rufus Lumley record
  4. I had an issue when I sold my collection in 1994 it went for £25
  5. Oh so it's a new recording then? Shame, was looking forward to hunting it down.
  6. Just when I thought I'd heard it all, this comes along. I've been transferring evrything onto the pc and I found this, I don't remember ever hearing it before or ever even having known it existed; it's a very well known track but completely different...stopped me in my tracks!
  7. I thought he wore his hat to the side, not his hair. because if you're a pimp, you won't get much attention by wearing your hair to the side but if you wear your HAT to the side, you will immediately be recognised as a pimp
  8. Great first post by the way
  9. "A Fool" by Alton Ellis...shame it's so short though, about 1:40
  10. See if you can get a record called "Sesame Street" Ste, by Scotty on Songbird - it's the DJ version of Loser but it has the instrumental on the B side complete with chorus vocals intact - it's brilliant and good for a bit of karaoke. I sold my spare on ebay last week unfortunately.
  11. I didn't need to add anything else after my first highly amusing one liner, unlike you who doesn't even seem to be able to put a single sentence together
  12. See what you think of this - very soulful rocksteady harmony - I paid a lot for this, about £80 but I've seen it go for double that - Johnny & The Attractions on Doctor Bird
  13. I played Too Late To Turn Back Now at the Studio 1 club fortnight ago - Alton Ellis...sadly I don't play my copy of The Loser out because it sounds like frying bacon at the start, just needed it on UK Island though
  14. Yeah thats an excellent track. I also didn't like Groovy...probably because over familiar with the song
  15. No I haven't heard that Andy - 70's?
  16. Wonder if thats the one I mentioned above Gene. Actually no, thats rubbish, my one was by Lloyd Richards who is actually 'Richard Ace'. I've got all Lloyd Robinsons JA releases (discography) in front of me and nothing with that title - I've got an I Need Your Love, thats the nearest I can get.
  17. I remember seeing it in one of his Top 10's in Black Echoes, surrounded by the Diana Fosters and Allnight Bands..
  18. Soulful Dynamics - that was found by a lad in the States and ended up with Barry James who passed it onto Andy Rix
  19. It's great but it's not Jamaican. Andy Rix has got this.
  20. Phyllis Dillon as requested
  21. That didn't come out in the Uk mate - came out twice in Jamaica, on Wirl and also Bra...so that will be very hard to find
  22. See what you think of this, bit of Studio One magic
  23. Yeah like I said, no claims to greatness, just that if I had a good look I'd probably find a lot of things like that, just found one on Port O'Jam label that sounds a bit like Stand By Me, pretty good, Lloyd Robinson..
  24. I'm doing this project where I'm putting every single track I've got on cd, 45 and Lp onto the pc then I'm going to transfer them to dvd and flog them, obviously, but the last one I did (with that last track on) also had the Glen Miller and Phyllis Dillon tracks on so if you really want them putting up, no problem. Don't know the track you mentioned, sorry
  25. Absolutely spot-on Miss P - nice one - what do you think of it???
