  1. No it was awful. CD 1 was ok, cd 2 a bit commercial, cd 3 all chart stuff! I think they want the stuff for all the b sides and that - I recorded all the Island and Doctor Bird b sides, unfortunately I didn't do track listings so I have a bit of work to do there. They actually said they don't mind me using anything that might be theirs because it encourages people to go out and buy the cd's. Anyway I dubbed off vinyl mostly, sounds better with scratches on I reckon...
  2. In a moment of supreme irony, the people who own Trojan just rang me up and asked if I could supply them with a copy of my archive with a view to using it as a source for stuff they haven't got
  3. Yeah they took the advert down, not quite sure why as I wasn't copying anyone's official project, it's my own collection of records. I'll pm you the details ok
  4. Interesting, because the first time I met you, I had hair. First time I dj'd at These Old Shoes, and it was only the second night ever there, I have a couple of photos from that and I have a fair bit of hair. What happened after that, I don't know, but I suffered really bad alapecia around the 'beard and moustache area' which is still only just growing back properly (it grew back white instead of dark!) So basically, it's ever since I met you that my hair disappeared. Bastard.
  5. Have you actually seen your hair, like, ever??
  6. No but it's definitely Ska Jerk - have you played it, there's at least 3 tracks I know called Ska Jam, Tommy McCook, Jackie Mittoo and Baba Brooks, must be a typo on the label. Nice 45 though on Coxsone.
  7. That track by the way is The Wailers - Ska Jerk - same tune as "Shotgun"
  8. Just a quick note to say if you like this stuff you might find my advert in the sales section to be of interest, to justify this posts inclusion in this section, here's one I made earlier
  9. South Africa with triangle centre!
  10. No sorry, don't mean it won't sell, I mean it won't go for the prices the British does or even the US Epic one. I've also got an Aussie one but it's been hanging around for donkeys.
  11. That's an Aussie copy isn't it, you'll struggle with that. I've got a UK issue and a UK demo if anyone's interested, £250 each. cheers Pete
  12. About 40 ska singles, few northern bits, the old northern dvd's and a Prince Buster collection >>> Stuff On Ebay <<<

I got sick of waiting to try and pick up a British copy of Tyrone Evans so I made one for myself week later I missed a Treasure Isle one for about $22...
  14. It's on a label called Slow Fizz I think.
  15. Both are beauties - East Coast and West Coast pressings, both originals.
  16. Damn that Delegates Of Soul, I bought it off a chap with about 30 other records 4 years back and had never heard of it so put it on the list for £40...someone got a bargain. It was slightly water damaged, I was told that that was how you could tell most of the originals.
  17. Make that two dinosaurs :graynone:
  18. Agree with Ted...overlong, overrated, a 'nothing' record
  19. Did you? How much was it?
  20. Here's another one; I once had a copy of The Trip by Dave Mitchell on a label called P.S. records...no details of address on the label, nothing, but as it came from Nancy I assumed it was from California. It was a dark blue label. I've never seen another of these. I also had Is She In Your Town on a different label to Mira but can't remember the name of it
  21. Sorry I don't have a scan of it but I have seen it and it does exist - Just Brothers "Sliced Tomatoes" not on Music Merchant but on Lupine Records. Only copy I know of is owned by Mick Smith.
  22. Paying the price of pain - never came out
  23. Why's that funny, Crying Time is brilliant
