That Paulette record is f&cking terrible, it might as well be by Lulu it's that poppy - someone paid $2000 for it?

Ubelievable. Great as this record is - and it is truly brilliant - I can't believe it sells for more than £500, it's not 'that' rare. Was a regular £100 job in the 90's

Because it had already been released and deleted I think. You have to watch Ian levine's film, they tell the story behind it on there
  16. yeah it's nice EX vinyl, sleeve is also EX apart from a small tear on the open end
  17. Pete S replied to ulyssees's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Selectadisc returned them to Polydor as they were 'faulty' and kept a handful. Polydor must have ditched the rest at some time because Mick Smith told me he got his from a kid selling records out of a pram at Portobello Market in the late 70's!
  18. Pete S replied to ulyssees's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
It was pressed for Selectadisc in Nottingham, they asked for 300 copies from UK Polydor who distributed Kama Sutra.
  19. Cheers Jim. I mean Rory.
  20. I just saw that photo on the Express & Star website and got a lump in my throat, remembering all the times in the 60's and 70's I'd walked under that gate, especially circa 1975 when the second W dropped off and it said WOLVERHAMPTON ANDERERS for years, to our shame..
  21. I purchased this off Ebay the other day as a buy it now for £4.99 RARE PLEASURE - LET ME DOWN EASY - UK DJM in PROMOTIONAL SLEEVE with blurb about the track. actually one of the few disco records I really like - anyway if a US copy goes for what, £30 to £40, how much should I stick on this UK one
  22. Pete S replied to Barry's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
He does, but he has to cover the whole scope of the 60's. My son loved something he played by Max Bygraves a while ago about ice creams
  23. Pete S replied to ulyssees's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
It's not really Rory Gallagher is it? This was the first time I'd heard this record after all the hype, it's very very ordinary isn't it - glad I never bought it blind.
