  2. You're getting boring Soulfood. Do you think John Manship knows more about British than Mick Smith or Roy Gelder... these guys have stuff John has never heard of. My so called draft that you talk about was done over 7 years ago, and they don't have any updates.
  3. No mate it's only got northern in, I left practically all of the general soul records out...but I think I did 70's as well, probably not reissues but things like GSF etc.
  4. Can't remember off the top of my head but he has or had a shop in Norwich I think
  5. I did one in about 1994 - listed around ten times the amount of stuff that was in Findagroove - I bet there's loads in there John won't have listed, seriously.
  6. Mark the Soul Patrol is too cheap (and the Karen Sue about £100 too expensive)
  7. Er, because although I know what all the records are, the records are in transit, and I haven't actually got them, so I am not able to make a proper list, therefore it's a bit of a tease just listing the artists I suppose...but yes, it's all the usual tracks you would associate with them. But if anyone wants to know about anything, best email me...it's just to create a bit of interest really. But I will definitely be selling them.
  8. I thought this was in the public demain anyway?
  9. I'd personally say the red issue on vinyl is the hardest, only ever seen it once or twice.

  13. Probably just doesn't like you Trev! I bid on an auction from someone a few months ago, might have been 'nippers mum', I was banned, but I'd bought about 400 quids worth off them previously with no problem.
  14. Might be on Footstompers Mark
  15. It was played at Wigan at the end of 78 Mark, but only lasted a couple of weeks before being pressed.
  16. I can't believe it either - I had an issue 4 weeks ago for 50 quid and nobody wanted it, went to Mick Smith for £25 I think - went to somebody for £25 anyway. The wacky world of records.
  17. Oh sorry. I was wrong. Those are the best two unreleased tracks I have ever heard and I am AMAZED that they were never released. There is no justice in this world.
  18. Okay £40 and I'm taking the food out of my own mouth Soz can't do soundclip unless I do it onto a cd and I haven't got any of those music-only cd blanks til the weekend
  19. Not difficult to see why they were never released...
  20. You can always check on ASCAP and BMI websites if you get the time
  21. The Sandelles - Hit n Run Lover - Debonair. Well I picked this up because it's in both books at £300 but I just don't get it...quite a nice girl harmony midtempo thing but I can't hear anything that justifies such a price. Can anyone explain? Was it played somewhere once upon a time? This copy is VG. If anyone wants it they can have it for £50.
  22. No I'm totally bewildered now, I have no idea what's going on, and I'd like to know how Dan came up with the name!
  23. Pete S

    Del Royals

I've got an unreleased version of Man Of Value if anyone wnats to hear it - it may be another take of the Del Royals, came off a one sided acetate.
  24. I'll have both of those for sale in about 3 weeks time. You can geta boot of the chardes on mgm for a fiver.
  25. I went in the KFC in Wolverhampton on monday and they were playing a mix tape which had The Cavaliers "Hold to my baby" and The Victors "Hurt" on it!
