Help With Prices, Please
Yeah the demos are the old style decca demos. Gene McDaniels - well maybe more, it's just a tough record to sell in my experience, I certainly wouldn't ask more than that for an issue, I would for a demo. Theres no way the Victors is £150...great record and the b side is great as well Mark

Help With Prices, Please
There is no curved Decca copy of John E Paul on issue Mace. It's boxed but the matrix is inverted (upside down) on the original. Ike & Tina Turner I'd have said £40. Victors about £80. Gene McDaniels about the same. Heatherton is a reissue, Clinton a UK new release at the time, £5 each.

More Ebay Madness - Don Thomas Boot
Pink is the original (plus white demo). Blue VJ is the 1975 reissue/bootleg. This one on ebay, I've never seen that before.

Ebay: Buyer Not Replying My To Emails
Send him one more email telling him you're going to leave negative feedback if he doesn't respond in 24 hours, then do that, and claim your fees back off ebay because then they will be after him as well. If he says he will leave retaliatory negative, just say 'so what' and carry on. Who was it anyway, someone we know? If it was me, I have a valid excuse...

Price For Patty & The Emblems
Yeah 5 to 10 quid tops...very big US hit...quite rare on UK Stateside but the issue on Herald is a real cheapie.

Cheap And Desperate! - Lou Pride Pressings
Well that plus the fact nobody bought their records when they were released 40 years ago, their managers and publishers and labels ripped them off etc...
-
Cheap And Desperate! - Lou Pride Pressings
If you go back a few weeks in sales you'll find one of my lists which has this record for sale on it, someone else asked about the laqbel/copyright etc and I replied I know absolutely bugger all about it, I and many others just buy them in to sell on. But the question may have been answered on that thread.

Best Ever British Northern Soul
Something weird must happen at EMI when you ask for tapes of old stuff...when Rhino put out a Bowie 60's collection, they gave them unissued takes of I Pity The Fool and Take My Tip, never came out anywhere before or since. Also the master of Bobby Goldsboro - Too Many People has apparently long since disappeared so thats why nobody reissued the stomping version and UA put out the alternate take. I always thought he was a folky singer/songwriter...

Cd's
Loads of those are out on official cd's mate. The Rotations actually came out in a previously unreleased full length version which I'll enclose here (on the CD Northern Side Of Philly Soul)

Bizarre Northern Sounds No.1
That Detroit Strings (which actually has no strings on it) isn't a version of OLIITP mate, it's just got passages that sound a lot like it. I've got a Never In A Million Years inst for sale next week but it's got the mighty Don't Turn Your Back On Me by Jack Montgomery on the other side so there's always a demand. I can send you an mp3 of the Bobby Goldsboro if you want it.

Best Ever British Northern Soul
Doesn't qualify - US recording Geno is great but Tim Rose is another US recording In fairness to the Merseys - when they were offered the song they thought they were going to be doing the Jerry Butler song of the same name! Elvis Costello's version of I Stand Accused is based on the Merseys one.

Stop drinking! It was you who wrote Honey Adams!

Best Ever British Northern Soul
Yeah different song altogether then mate...that'd be Pete Shelley who was "Life" who did Cats Eyes.

Marion Stewart
There is a reason for this but it might not make much sense. As you may or may not know, the girlfriend is having a baby, sorry, my baby on monday and I've made a resolution that from that day, I will pack in drinking, smoking and eating meat, so the bacon roll is my last stand, an homage so to speak. Obviously this will only last for about 3 days but you've got to try!

Pete's Bargains
Yes you're right mate, I thinik this is the same song Tony Middleton did on the A side of To The Ends Of The Earth!
