Apparently it's gone - I used to have a mate at the BBC who used to nick me quite a bit of footage (Top Of The Pops mainly - er, David Bowie stuff, Xmas specials etc) and I asked him to look for that and he never found it. Also when they re-ran every episode they'd got from the 70's on UK Gold, it wasn't there. I know, I taped all of them

PETE SMITH 28 JENKS ROAD WOMBOURNE WOLVERHAMPTON WV5 0BL 01902 893569 Pete.smith@freeuk.com Hi Folks Thanks for the brilliant response to last weeks list. This week, as requested, I'm listing some classic oldies instead of the big rarities. I would prefer payment by cheque, postal order or cash with these records please. You may pay by paypal or credit card (via my own facilities) but as mentioned before, there will be a 4% charge on these transactions. This is only while these set sale lists are taking place. Sorry. Ed Wolfrum Collection On Ebay - Tomangoes, Larry Wright
Pete S replied to Sharlow45's topic in Record Sales
Yes you are right, that delta number dates it to 1975 I think. -
Well I only sell it for £4 mate so not much point me buying it!
-
Sorry to laugh but I've heard most of Dinah Lee's records and they are uniformally awful. Her version of Pushing A Good Thing Too Far is a joke, and to say her version of Bobby Goldsboro is better than the original is just madness. I'll send this up if I can find the tape.
-
If there was a second buyer, I've also got a WD for sale, same condition Pete
-
Well that would be great if you could find out mate, thanks a lot. Theres one I'm bidding on ebay at the moment. cheers Pete
-
I know this is a bit of a long shot but I need a Philips cd recorder CDR 870. I'll pay cash or swap a Philips 770 twin deck cd recorder (this is a later/upgraded model). Or I will pay a reward in records or dvd's for info leading to the purchase of one (not off ebay) thanks! Pete

Yeah it was me, exactly the same thing happened, I even had the f*cking tracking number but they said that wasn't proof enough. Looks like the only thing I could have done was to hand deliver it. Paypal have done this to me twice now, in fact one guy today has claimed he didn't receive 2 singles I sent him in november despite me saying in the listing that if they didn't pay for recorde delivery I would not be responsible. However, he went via paypal and they WILL come down on his saide so I've just given him the money. This is the last time I'll ever be caught out like this. Overseas buyers are now going to have to pay for insurance if they use paypal and UK buyers will have no choice, recorded/special or nothing. Love to know who this French person is, I got done twice in the same month by having this trick pulled on me.
-
But it had the otherwise unavailable instrumental on the back and that was great!
-
Didn't know there was a US issue - thought this was actually produced in the UK!
-
Good idea mate, cheers...I'll give it a go
-
Sorry this came out such a mess, couldn't work out how to edit it to get them all in line!

Think the original is by Little Anthony mate..
-
Arsenal v Man Utd. And it took 11 hours to reply by the looks of it. Baby spent most of the night crying
-
I have to post and run at the moment, I was watching the football! Er, I liked the backing track but the rest was a sack of pigs tits.
-
I'd ask £125 for Doug Banks and £40 or £50 for Frankie Lee.
-
Neil I remember you mentioning the Discotheque record when you were doing reviews for (my) Beatin Rhythm magazine, and to be honest I never saw one til about 6 months ago when it turned up on ebay. As for Down In The Subway...Soft Cell did a great version of this...was a minor hit
