  5. YOU CAN LISTEN TO A MINUTE LONG CLIP OF ANY OF THESE RECORDS IF YOU EMAIL ME AT pete.smith@freeuk.com and quote the item number PETE SMITH 28 JENKS ROAD WOMBOURNE WOLVERHAMPTON WV5 0BL 01902 893569 Pete.smith@freeuk.com Hello Due to complaints about the 4% charge for using the credit card machine, I have decided to drop this and increase the price of the records instead J It's OK I am only joking! The 4% charge is now gone from the lists but there still is a charge for using paypal, I didn't realise exactly how much these bastards fleece off customers, so the bottom line is: please pay by cheque, cash, postal order or via my credit card facilities and there is no 4% charge (there's always been a 50 pence charge). Please try to avoid paypal and unnecessary fees. If you want to hear of any of these records - try before you buy - just email me quoting the number and I'll send you the clip of what you want to hear. 6. So have I, but a) it's not worth that and it's rubbish
  7. OK thanks chaps. I got 3 unplayed ones so I'll probably do them at 40-50. No way is it worth 100 IMO, I saw that in JM's book which is why I asked
  8. Traditions - My Life With You - Bar Clay records. Just wondered if anyone can tell me what I should be asking for this, in unplayed/mint condition (from the labels owner) ... not bothered if anyone thinks it's a crap white pop stomper, to me it's a rush-to-the-dancefloor job, anyway, how much d'you reckon??
  9. It's 'take me back again' but I can't remember the artist - I'm sure it was on one of those northern soul story double lp's in the 80's
  10. Same happened with this record by (I think) Kool Blues on Capsoul, I saw it listed for about 100 quid and I found something like 26 copies for $5 each, in the end I was giving them away...still see it for 100 but has anyone ever bought it? I don't have much luck buying multiple records...except that Nino Tempo thing, bought 50 and sold them for £20 each (others were selling them at 30)
  11. Richard Domar used to list that Herb Ryals at something like £50 so I found 4 copies, listed them for £50, then £40 and so on until they went for £10 each...this is going back a bit, 1999
  12. There's actually someone from Belgium selling the same record on ebay at the moment, apologies for not keeping the link but he has a perfect scan up there if it's any help
  13. Russ was the only person to play this at Wigan, as Mark says, as Wilson Pickett. December 76/January 77. It was played for maybe 2 weeks maximum then John Anderson found all the dead stock so it was available everywhere - people bought these alongside pressings, like they did with Ringleaders, Admirations, John Bowie etc. The one day they realised they were originals
  14. Don't like it mate, never liked it since it was first played, SOZ!
  15. A decent tune and vocal?
  16. Stuff I've got on ebay - all decent originals at what I thought were competetive prices (Jimmy Conwell, Tyn Times, Jessica James, Ted Taylor, Derc Hotzog, Gino, Ben E King, Emanuel Laskey (50 quid cheaper than it is on someones list on SS) and so on) all buy it now, no takers https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfrppZ50QQfso...ssZsammymayfair
  17. Someone has actually asked if I can hold one of those records so here is the list again with the real prices. 20. It's an audiodisc acetate, all it says on it is GOODBYE LITTLE ANGEL words & music by EUNICE STEARNS 305-655-6197 Is that a phone number? Maybe Eunice Stearns was a songwriter? He's no singer Somebody just offered me £25 for it so I took it...
  21. Only joking mate, can't remember what it was now anyway
  22. Great, cheers Joe. Stick that cheque in for the record you reserved 3 months back as well
  23. I'm starting to really like this sort of stuff
  24. I think there was a mix up - don't laugh - I thought he said 'can I put you down for some flyers', meaning could I send some flyers out, but I think he meant 'can I put you ON the flyer', meaning DJ. By the time this all made sense, I was already pre-booked to stay in saturday. I certainly won't be djing but if I can get out for a couple of hours I'll come and say hello
  25. Frank Sidebottom! And yep, Earth Angel really is great.
