It sounds like I'm trying to scupper this chaps sales on this record but it's not like that at all. Is it better to try and offer a bit of factual info or just keep schtumm. Or start a new thrtead in Look At Your Box?

Anyone know why "Ain't no mountain high enough" is getting more expensive week by week? £25-£30 seems to be about standard now. One went for $51 last night. Is it because Mick Smith played it at the 100 Club once? (My all time favourite Motown record by the way)

It's the same group - they came over to the US in 1964 with the Jamaican Artists package for the Worlds Fair, and stayed on. Also recorded for Wand.

F*cking hell, don't they take it seriously, nobody said he was trying to rip anyone off, like Ritchie says, he was just trying to find out about it. I'd still sell that record as a pressing whether it's a legitimate reissue or not, or is this some new phase in record collecting: legitimate reissues, because they are 'legitimate' you can add another £10 on to the price.

Marvin Gaye - was lying in bed and heard it come on the radio. Went back to sleep. Jackie Wilson - was a bit surprised as thought he was already dead. I did get upset when John Peel died though.

Well this one has really got me stumped. The second picture is of the bootleg of Bobby Paris _ night Owl. This is in Manships book, described as having a bevelled edge. And it does, it's a definite bootleg. John also says there is a second bootleg which was pressed at Monarch inn the 70's and has a delta number. Fair enough. The first scan is what I believe to be an original white demo. However, it has nothing but the number in the run off. The vinyl is thick 60's style. I have a Len Barry demo from the same period and the number is definitely sctahced in with the same hand, however on the Barry record, it actually says DJ Copy Not For Sale. On this Night Owl, it doesn't. Both the demos have a dip towards the centre hole. So basically I'm asking opinions as to whether this white demo is legit. I can't really see, knowing where it came from, that it would be a boot. But it's best I find out now before I try and sell it. Does anyone else have a white demo? If it's legit, what a bout the value? I sell the usual red demo for £125. cheers Pete
