  1. I'd personally love to see a full length set of Dean Parrish having never actually witnessed him performing live..
  2. here's a coincidence for you - been to a boot sale this morning and picked up: THE MIKE RAVEN BLUES SHOW (XTRA 1047) THE MIKE RAVEN BLUES SAMPLER (TRANSATLANTIC TRA SAM 5) THIS IS BLUES (ISLAND IWP 5) whats the chances of that, one day after speaking about Mike Raven?
  3. God what an uninspired and lame version of Keep On keeping On, sounds like half the band didn't turn up!

  5. Why would anyone pay more than a fiver for this???
  6. You sure it's on Island??? . No it's on Ska Beat..
  7. Well if you find it, or any others, flog em to me, I collect the label...honest
  8. I sold a copy of the Four Vandals for £500 on behalf of someone who posts on this site, before the scam was revealed. This copy had been rubbed around a carpet for hours by the looks of it, had writing on the label and a fag burn on one side. Considering it had only been manufactured that year, I'd say this was a real scam by the seller, who I won't name. But I had absolutely no idea and it wasn't until I showed the record to John Manship - it was the first he'd seen - that the little light bulbs started to flash...
  9. Oh, and don't want to fall out with you mate but didn't I send you a cd of the sounds that Gavin "bootlegged"? And I f*cking hate it when people call for other members to be banned, it's like those cheating foreign footballers waving their hands about asking the ref to give yellow cards.
  10. There's always been tailor mades though. I was only thinking the other night, it sounds daft now but when I hear the intro to WEAK SPOT I think back to how exciting it was at the time!
  11. I've got loads of Mike Raven shows on reel to reel and I've posted a few extracts up in the past. never much interest though. What a boring voice that guy had..
  12. The truth about the 4 Vandals came out long after the Rocket finished..
  13. Believe it or not there are adults on this forum Shane, how about treating us as such? (actually having read it, I take that back, sorry Sir)
  14. Maybe he forgot he was here a couple of weeks back. Bump on the head or something.
  15. I'd come if it wasn't in London.
  16. Wigan was only getting 3 or 400 for the last year mate...
  17. He posted it the other week and I said I'd try and find out, I remembered him from KTF, anyway all I got was that his real name is Neil and he comes from Derby..
  18. Yeah thats a f*cking terrible song - Richard Harris - but I also remember that one. I remember I used to write down the artists and title of the records and give them points out of 10. I always knew I'd end up working with records
  19. You are definitely right about it being played on the BBC as I recognised this when I heard it played 'out' for the first time so I had to have heard it when it came out. And it must have been daytime radio too. I was 8 when it came out and I can't remember many records I heard on the radio back then but I distinctly remember hearing "Beggin" by Timebox on a sick day off from school. The record that reminds me most of the 60's and having breakfast vefore going to school with the radio on, is "Excerpt from a teenage opera (grocer jack)" by keith West, every time I hear that I'm transported back to our council house in Bull Lane. Sorry, am rambling on...
  20. I blame Thatcher. Stuart, it's not me nagging you, it's the people I sold copies to 4 months ago that keep asking me where they are
  21. I thought she was in the first as well? The main male characters were just so obnoxious. But that one guy is now a big star in the States, forgot his name but he was in The Truth About Cats And Dogs, which is quite a good film (if you are female person)
  22. Mikey it's a bit naieve to say there was no sabotage when there was a shocking campaign against Ian Levine by the rest of London's promoters. With Levine going hand in hand with The Rocket, it was bound to have a knock on effect. And remember they organised a nighter for the sole purpose of clashing with The Rocket. Or did that never happen? Post office?????
  23. Well if you come on shouting about Ady Croasdel you have to have something to back it up with mate otherwise it looks like you are just slagging people off for no reason.
  24. I'm going to start sending you vaguely threatening emails soon
