  1. They couldn't even get the title right - Junction at the Fuction (instead of Function at the Junction)
  2. I like Run For Shelter. Ian, Philips and Mercury were part of the same set up along with Fontana, hence the Philips acetate label. I've had a couple of these before also...one was by Brian Connell & The Round Sound which I thought would be the guy who went on to be the singer in The Sweet but it turned out not to be and I'd wasted £2
  3. I think you'll find this is a version of the Walker brothers song, not the Esther Phillips one. Came out on UK mercury and is only worth a fiver.
  4. The isntrumental version was posted up on the sounds page on here a year or so ago, I swore it was Hippo who posted it but I think he said it wasn't him, but it was definitely the instrumental also known simply as "the Dance Track" when played by Sir John of Vincent.
  5. Young Folk - Lonely girl - Mar V Lus. Absolutely unbelievable record. JJ Barnes - Please let me in - Ric Tic. Imagine if there were only 3 copies of this, it would go over £5000 on quality.
  6. Whats keb got to do with it? I went about 80 times and I don't ever remember thinking I should stop going because it was a 'pop' venue. For every Sue Lynne there were another ten records of the quality of John & The Weirdest. The best venue and the best music ever.
  7. It didn't. Like everywhere else, it played a few white sompers.
  8. Most upped thread of all time
  9. It is on vinyl, it's on either a 10" or 12" bootleg, sorry, anniversary single, can't remember which one, Mr T's at Kidderminster had loads of them.
  10. Ho hum. Ebay it is then
  11. Just tried it Mike. It's called You're So Good To Me baby and it's avery raucous, sock it to me style uptempo track. Pretty good, bit messy for some.
  12. Yes this one has that too

  14. OK thanks you chaps, this must be a boot. What about this one, it has an AT stamp and also a W stamp but is it a reissue?
  15. John Manship's bootleg book is very vague about this really, it tells you what is not an original but not really what is...I have one here and it is Archer stamped with something like dxm next to that (d with a tail on the top), anyone have any idea what is in the run off of the original?
  16. Mark, you're getting worse...anyway surely the only connection between those two groups is that they were both on Bell. The Pearls were session singers.
  17. I've no idea - it's mint minus. Could do with a rough value please. It's for sale if anyone wants it. cheers.
  18. I didn't even know there was a vocal until I bought the record so it looks like it was never played.
  19. Thought it was a Wigan record to be honest...I've certainly got it on a tape (2nd anniversary)
  20. I'm losing my f*cking marbles I am, I don't remember anyone called Molly, was it definitely me??
  21. Only released about 5 decent tracks...
  22. It's a forum isn't it? Therefore, you did. In fact you said "If you don't like this, you have no soul" which is a statement that needs replying to so if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question in the first place, or something...
  23. So it's US so why bother quoting me then why I said it didn't come out in the UK, I never mentioned US...
  24. U.K. ??????
