Lesley Dawson (just Say Goodbye)
I like Run For Shelter. Ian, Philips and Mercury were part of the same set up along with Fontana, hence the Philips acetate label. I've had a couple of these before also...one was by Brian Connell & The Round Sound which I thought would be the guy who went on to be the singer in The Sweet but it turned out not to be and I'd wasted £2

Lesley Dawson (just Say Goodbye)
I think you'll find this is a version of the Walker brothers song, not the Esther Phillips one. Came out on UK mercury and is only worth a fiver.

Peanut Duck - Instrumental
The isntrumental version was posted up on the sounds page on here a year or so ago, I swore it was Hippo who posted it but I think he said it wasn't him, but it was definitely the instrumental also known simply as "the Dance Track" when played by Sir John of Vincent.

Million Dollar Cheapies
Young Folk - Lonely girl - Mar V Lus. Absolutely unbelievable record. JJ Barnes - Please let me in - Ric Tic. Imagine if there were only 3 copies of this, it would go over £5000 on quality.

Why Did Wigan Go Pop?
Whats keb got to do with it? I went about 80 times and I don't ever remember thinking I should stop going because it was a 'pop' venue. For every Sue Lynne there were another ten records of the quality of John & The Weirdest. The best venue and the best music ever.

Why Did Wigan Go Pop?

Soul Twins - Original?
OK thanks you chaps, this must be a boot. What about this one, it has an AT stamp and also a W stamp but is it a reissue?
-
Soul Twins - Original?
John Manship's bootleg book is very vague about this really, it tells you what is not an original but not really what is...I have one here and it is Archer stamped with something like dxm next to that (d with a tail on the top), anyone have any idea what is in the run off of the original?

Fluffs Forgotten Oldie Of The Day
Mark, you're getting worse...anyway surely the only connection between those two groups is that they were both on Bell. The Pearls were session singers.

Liberty On Basf
I didn't even know there was a vocal until I bought the record so it looks like it was never played.

Does Modern Soul Suck?
It's a forum isn't it? Therefore, you did. In fact you said "If you don't like this, you have no soul" which is a statement that needs replying to so if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question in the first place, or something...
