  1. One of the best was The Belles - Let Me Do It. Brilliant track, unreleased at the time I think.
  2. Humphrey Stomp was on Soul Town, as was The COD's Michael/I'm A Good Guy and the Darrel banks double sider Our Love / Open The Door. One of the strangest boots I've ever seen is a white label of Six By Six (Earl van Dyke). Matrix number is HT 1206 and it sounds like it was recorded on a cassette recorder then put onto a pressing. It's British with a solid centre. Must date from 69-70, anyone seen this?
  3. I've got a Human Beinz you can have for nothing. I had 2 last month, sold a mint one, this ones a scruffy old thing but you're welcome to it if you want it. Just got to find it.
  4. Loads of underplayed and lesser known oldies there - I like this set, it's interesting
  5. He is supposed to have been given the master tapes by Randy Wood. You know about 5 years back when Ian levine set up this new chat group thing called Advanced Northern Soul? Well for the first 2 months it was absolutely belting, some great chat/argument and some very interesting people on there. I made some comment about Simon Soussan doing something or other, the next day I got an email from him saying that he didn't do whatever I'd said he did and would I please correct that statement! Which simply goes to prove that he didn't just vanish, he must still be on the edge of the scene.
  6. Soultrader, don't let this put you off sending other stuff up, it's only a laugh...
  7. The one in the photo - which is the one I'm selling on ebay - is the only one I've ever seen!
  8. Nah but you must have sprouts in yours, it's an out and out pop record, the kind of thing that made people stop going to Wigan! No, seriously...terrible record...come on folks back me up here...
  9. Yeah he was ok back then Gene...
  10. and this https://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=sele...pm&Dirn=Left+by

  12. You should have said 'deservedly' forgotten oldie
  13. I dunno about that Steve, when I joined most of you lot were regulars and I didn't really know anyone, if you come on and try and give the impression of being confident even if you're not, you'll usually be okay.
  14. They aren't more expensive just because they are styrene, there's usually a reason! With the Sam & Kitty, it's a Chicago recording so logically they are likely to sell more copies on the East Coast, served by vinyl pressings. They would have probably done a limited run of styrene pressings at Monarch over on the West Coast. The Sam & Kitty West Coast demo is nice looking though
  15. All UK copies of Cajun Hart jump one groove in the instrumental break - US copies don't
  16. He bought a load of ska off me so when I was running my little radio show, I emailed him as I thought he might be interested, he replied saying how dare I be so stupid to spam him and he had reported me to ebay!
  17. Mate just came round to look at records, I hada mint Pete warner on Polydor issue at 150, he said would I take 100, I said okay...so we played it and it hissed all the way through. I gave it him for nothing in the end. CURSE YOU, STYRENE.
  18. Kev is no hero of mine, no dj is, well perhaps maybe Richard S, I only butt in with comments defending Kev when he's getting a pasting for no reason. Whereas in the past 12 months you have nominated Ady for everything including Poet Lauriate and the Popes Special Envoy.
