  1. How will any of them know what she looks like anyway??? Photographed circulated and pinned behind the pay kiosk...have you seen this soulie...
  2. I've had 4 issues and the one demo that I think you had off me Rich. First issue came from Gene back in the early 90's after I'd reviewed in Beatin Rhythm magazine to no interest whatsoever! I sold that copy for £60. About 6 years later it started getting played so I put an ad in Record Collector and got 2 more issues. I got another issue in a collection and I got the demo off Ebay for something like 18 quid, and thats when it was very well known, this would be about 4/5 years back. Not bothered since because it's too expensive but I'd have said 175 for the issue and 250 to 300 for the demo.
  3. Hard record to price, hard record to sell - I've got a mint UK issue for £100 but no takers...but think I;d rather keep it than let it go for less
  4. I don't get this - you shouldn't need to be right clicking at all. Are you not seeing a still frame from the clip with a play button right in the centre...which starts to play once you click it? Are you still using that Amiga
  5. They are all from this series, I do mention it a few times in other postings!
  6. SECOND AND LAST PLUG FOR THIS WEEKS LIST
  7. I would have thought you'd have about a hundred takers at that price! If not, I'll have it...
  8. Asked to sell this for someone, best offer over 500 quid by 7pm tomorrow night can have it Visually vg/vg+, play wise, excellent cheers Pete
  9. But thats a deep bass voice isn't it, I don't think it's Popcorn
  10. It's a real low budget show mate, they've only got 2 dancers and they are on almost every clip. Also it's supposed to be in front of a live audience and it's not. And they must have filmed a few episodes in a day, then shown them later in the series, often he says "so and so was here a couple of months back and we are pleased to welcome him back", except he's wearing the same clothes as before!
  11. What you on about, crossover??? You can't get much more northern than that. I asked a question recently about this and the other Popcorn Wylie productions of the time - who was the drummer? On Sister Lee, Down In The Dumps etc. I now think, after watching Standing In The Shadows again at the weekend, that it's Richard Pistol Allen doing a bit of moonlighting.
  12. What happens exactly - does it just cut off, or does it feeze, or what? And what are you playing through (which program)
  13. A few years ago when Ian Levine was running the brilliant Adavanced Northern Soul list, I made some comment about a certain track being Simon Soussan's handiwork and I actually got an email from the man himself telling me the true story. Wish I'd kept it. So he is still around.
  14. Well I was just using the terminology passed on to me...supplied by, perhaps
  15. F*cking delete it now or put some proper smells on there
  16. Right I have been furnished with a perfect recording of this by a friend, and yes it is the soul fox strings, but they were added on top of the original backing track, which was given to SS by Sid Barnes. Thats what you said right Tone?
  17. Here's part 2 (accidentally posted to look in your box section also, sorry)
  18. This is part 1, part 2 should be ready in about 20 minutes
  19. Get ready for part 1 Grant...
  20. Thanks Del, and thanks everyone else, there's no need to keep thanking me honestly, it's nice to know people are enjoying them, thats ample reward! I am attempting to do this Stafford thing now, I've had to cut most of the Eddie Holman section out of the middle to keep the size down, I've just started to upload part 1, I reckon 25 minutes for that, and probably 15 for part 2, so all in all, it should be onsite just before 9 o clock
  21. Yeah I can post that but I'll have to split it into a couple of parts as the limit is 100mb
  22. I've only got Power Version, I did have Prince Francis, there's too much of a mish-mash on that cd for me to be honest..
  23. if you watch it on a full sized tv you can plainly see she's singing live and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's different to the released song, don't tell me you think Barbara McNair's miming as well, despite visible mikes, they are definitely both singing live.
