  1. If anyone wants to go straight to the clips I've put up, they are all here https://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=innercalm there's several that I've put up that aren't linked to Soul Source, not for any particular reason, I just didn't get round to it sorry. There are 60 clips altogether.
  2. Well at first listen I thought pretty good, probably take a while to grow but can't quite see what's the fuss about. Cheers for the info.
  3. Yeah they are Sad because it seems a bit weird to take gear for like 3 hours thats all...it's usually for a longer haul.
  4. Right well thanks for letting me know, I'll bear all that in mind, and when I do, do I become a proper northern soulie? F*cks sake.
  5. He'd got shut of it Neil sorry. I did ask. Sorry.
  6. Just bumping this after writing the word SOLD next to a few like I was told to do
  7. Okay and now what about the people who can't afford to buy Lou Pride for 1500 quid, Morris Chestnut for 400 quid and so on, they should be deprived of hearing and owning the record?
  8. It's common round here, I know of 2 copies within a couple of miles of each other (true!)
  9. What are you on about, I don't give a rats arse if people take drugs or not, I'm just saying that if they take them at a soul night they appear to be a bit sad.
  10. Mick Smith had one of these last year, probably let it go since but it's the only one I've ever senn. Wanted around 400 quid.
  11. I'm amazed at that, I really am.
  12. If you mean you've heard it 'out' too many times, then I know what you mean. Although I still like to hear it out on the 2 occasions a year I do go out
  13. I stand corrected, sorry. I never saw the original thread Steve, it had vanished by the time I was told about it, probably cos it was in the events section which is one I don't find myself browsing very often because every day is an event in my life
  14. I think he's been booted (ahem). Didya remember the dvd's, he asks, expecting the answer no
  15. The only thing wrong with this thread is that Kev Roberts isn't able to come on and explain what's happened. Dunno if that's because he can't or he won't, but it would be very helpful to hear the other side of events.
  16. Well Please Don't Run From Me is in there...I vaguely recognised two more...was Main String one? They all sound the same..
  17. James, there is something that you aren't taking into consideration. A lot of people don't look at any of the auctions until they are on their final day. Every day I just go to 'ending today' and do 24 hours worth. If I bid on anything prior to that, it's because the seller has sent a link. So thats why you don't get many bids in the early days of the auction, I wouldn't have known about that Velgo 45 til the last day myself. p.s. I don't think I've heard this, anyone got an mp3?
  18. I've given up trying to tell on the issues to be honest, unless I can find it in the States and it looks old, I count it as a pressing! Some of the pressings are on vinyl, some are on styrene. In fact I'd say apart from the eddie foster, this is the hardest of all of them to be able to tell.

THE DETAILS I NEED ARE CARD NUMBER, START AND END DATE, ISSUE NUMBER IF APPLICABLE, AND THE 3 DIGIT NUMBER FROM THE REVERSE - OH AND YOUR ADDRESS OF COURSE. 20. The post about the auction records (the job lot) was aimed squarely at my head as I was the high bidder when it was posted and my name was there for all to see (the poster has since apologised so no problem), I've backed out of the race after all this but there's absolutely no way you can have a forum about records and not comment about stuff that's on ebay. Nobody is going to pick the Velgo record up for cheap so it makes no difference if people discuss it. It's a bit different when you spot something nobody else has and then it gets talked about but that's life!
  21. Tell you what though, I've been 'aware' of drugs on the scene since I was 16 and I can honestly say I have never, ever heard of 'heroine' being taken or offered for sale at any Northern venue. The effect that the drug has is hardly likely to make it a favourite of people who want to dance all night!
  22. I could hear this every day of my life and I'd never get tired of hearing it. In fact I have heard it 100 times a year since 1975.
  23. You want to be careful mentioning that george Pep / Nat Hall reissue on here, I was stupid enough to do the same and some tw*t reported it to ebay and it was removed immediately.
  24. Whoever told you thats a bootleg is talking out of their backsides Blake, thats an original demo. There are no boots of the demo anyway.
  25. It's obviously an attempt by a rival promotor to get the event shut down. But on another point: if there were drugs being used at the venue, or any other venue running soul nights - how sad is that? Yes, speed at an allnighter but at a local soul night? What, people can't stay awake til 2 o clock without taking gear?
