Ebay Seller - Not Too Sure - What Do You Think?
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
That was just a cheap pressing he bought though, probably to start his feedback looking legit. The stuff he was selling this week were just too good to be true and the one I bought, the scan actually looked like it had been nicked from a scan that I put up myself last time I sold it! His other 7 feedbacks were fake and were duly removed. I think I did the right thing grassing him up and hopefully will have saved people a lot of money... -
Gerri Hall, Robert Parker (Lets Go Baby), Donna King, and the always brilliant Walking Up A One Way Street by Willie Tee
-
The boot is styrene as well. Foreverchanges - try and find out about delta numbers - you know the number in the run off which follows the triangle symbol. You can date the records to the exact year it was manufactured by these numbers, so your Frank dell will almost certainly have a number dating it to 1977.

No mate, Cranberry

Looks like Tim from Coventry with the glasses. Probably not though.
-
Me, earlier
-
Of course it is, same as number 9 is in the top 10. Isn't it?
-
Yellow with red logo is original. Green styrene is original. One is a slightly different edit, not a different mix or speeded up version. The more I think about, the more I'm positive that it has a small part of the instrumental break cut. Thats it!

Ebay Seller - Not Too Sure - What Do You Think?
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
I've spoken to ebay and they are investigating... -
I've won a record off this guy. Someone else emailed me to say he'd won 3 records the other week (paid for with cash) and another one very recently and the bloke is asking for more cash before he'll post them. No feedback apart from 7 from the same person (private) - and based in Cherleroi. Should have checked, shouldn't I. What do you lot think? https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZplanet.vinylQQhtZ-1
-
It's so boring though...
-
It's edited differently on the instrumental break (and I also thought the end was different)
-
Well for a start it was bootlegged more than twice with yellow labels, there's a terrible quality one which was done in 1975 along with bobby paris - night owl - which was also bad, bought both of these from an ad in Black Music magazine. There's also a white label black lettering copy which can be dismissed immediately. Most or maybe all of the yellow ones with red logo don't have a stamp on them of any sort, just a number. That green styrene copy is lovely, never had that.
-
Mac Davis is a country pop artist so why would anyone even look at a record by him in the first place? That's how it stays unknown...
-
You must be hard of hearing then, it's perfect quality and it's the right speed...I've got the same recording...as for it being the best new discovery, do me a favour, it's about number 999,999 in the greatest 100,000 records of all time
-
You not got this anymore Gene, this copy of mine came from you about 15 years ago!
