  1. Well they were.. the sterphonics - don't leave me deon jackson - some day the sun will shine sebastian williams - too much honey bees - never in a million years pee wee, shuck & huey - beside myself babies - the hand of fate The PJ Proby version is off an album that also includes his version of People That's Why I think (and Thats The Tune?)
  2. The last one is a bit of a curve ball, apparently I am the only person in the world who likes it or will admit to liking it. The rest are brilliant.
  3. Pretty sure it was meant to be a comedy - or an affectionate send-up at least. The dj was "Dennis Pennis"
  4. First shown about 3 and a half years ago...
  5. The thinking is to go in with a strong bid which will automatically put people off bidding
  6. Cheers Gene. That HMV single is quite tough, you can find millions of the others but never that one
  7. Also there's that one on UK HMV that was big for about a week in the 90's (was it Do You Know What Love Is or sommat like that) and I had one on a green label (Broadway? Broadmoor?), can't remember the title
  8. I think he was actually playing Silly Little Girl by The Tams which sounds very much like Hey Girl Don't Bother Me (well I have him on a Casino tape playing that one). As for It Keeps Raining...do me a favour, it's horrible and I can't see any reason why it would have or should be played either.
  9. Sam, you ought to meet Mick Smith's missus, she's a very keen Springsteen fan
  10. DJ genisis - tribute to betty this surely has to be one of the worst records ever made Teddy pendergrass - Do Me not heard but crap Kenny thomas - Crazy World he's a good singer Sidney Barnes - standing on solid Ground crap Will Collins & Will Power - Anything I Can Do this is a great track Prince Phillip Mitchell - I'm So Happy overplayed disco music Harold Melvin - Prayin utter rubbish
  11. This is a real arty-farty piece but it is actually Toni Basil and she's doing a piece of performance art to Breakaway. Contains brief nudity
  12. Worked fine now, thanks. It's that track that actually sounds like an old Ric Tic instrumental, can't remember which one right this second, but it does! Great stuff, thanks.
  13. I thought they did...
  14. Link not working Carl...
  15. Brilliant stuff Carl, there's some crackers on there, a couple of the instrumentals would really make the grade and the crossover track in the middle will please a lot of people. The one near the end with the chime bars was horrible but the rest...well done! Would liked to have heard more of track 1 as it cut off just as it was about to get going.
  16. Quite a lot actually
  17. They used to play 90% of the Cleethorpes sounds at Wigan - albeit after they'd broke them first
  18. He can be had after all! Hoorah! Nah, thats the first one you've ever come unstuck on. It's actually the other side that I bought it for: The Soul Boys - Rudie Get Wise...but I thought how great that Jackie Opel would have been with a bit more instrumentation. Well spotted Mr Slider. What jamaican Soul cd's???
  19. Is it the way I access the forum, clicking only 'posts since your last visit', because I don't even know what the new sounds policy is or the feature you are talking about Mike so I am just wondering if there are bits of the site that I am not actually seeing???
  20. Why have you put your question to me and then quoted Baz as if it were me replying, apart from to make yourself look a tw*t?
  21. Yes
  22. Superb clip from The Beat
