  1. Thats what I meant
  2. Joanie Sommers - Don't Pity Me - Warner Bros demo. Fair enough, except they say it's mono / stereo! For a start, it should have a different B side, secondly mono/stereo promos didn't exist in 1964-65 did they? Surely this is a scam? https://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-45-Joanie-Sommers...tem110040327595
  3. It is according to this thread!
  4. Whoever wrote My Weakness Is You should sue.
  5. I have to say Carl, you've got a real feel for the 60's sound, I like all the stuff you've been posting and it does actually sound authentic as opposed to most of the things that Ian L was doing because of the instruments used. Ian's were riddled with 80's and 90's technology, yours sound more back to basics with real instruments.
  6. Yes of course it is.
  7. Mad world
  8. Here's the audio ripped directly from the dvd soundtrack, anyone wanting acetates cut, no problem..(n.b. quality reduced to make it smaller to post here)
  9. So you're an impersonator as well then Tone, a man of many talents!
  10. I can probably rip a perfect quality audio recording direct from the dvd if anyone wants it put on vinyl
  11. About The Parisians - few years back, probably 2001, I was at Brighton record fair and standing with Mick Smith on his stall and a lad offered him a copy of The Parisians for £125, he said to me is it any good, I said well put it this way, if you don't want it - I'll have it. So he had a listen and told me I could have it. I kept it for about 6 months then sold it for not much more (to Simon I think). So go on then, how much is it now?
  12. I'll do you a copy of the dvd mate. Please, just Richie though, last time I said I'd do a dvd I ended up doing 38 of them
  13. Well the original now goes for anything from 100 to 150, the first pressing as in bootleg/reissue I've seen go for up to 40 quid but anyone paying that must be mental, the one with Heartbeat on the back 10-20 quid I guess. Nicest one of the lot is the white demo, had that 3 times now and regretted selling it every time.
  14. That'll be the second pressing, with Bill Pursell - Heartbeat on the other side.
  15. Wish you could. Missus' Mums got it. Nightmare.
  16. And a very pretty frock
  17. This is some footage of Little Anthony & The Imperials from 4 or 5 years ago, it's taken from a brilliant doo-wop concert which also features Jerry Butler, Lloyd Price, Bobby Lewis, Lou Christie, The Reflections, The Rays and so on and so on. Anyway Anthony does 4 numbers I think including Hurt So Bad and they are so professional and brilliant I was wondering why no-one has ever bought them to the UK. Here they are doing Going Out Of My Head and you have to say that they are almost as good as they were in the 60's. (I wanted to put Hurt So Bad up but youtube kept thinking it was a duplicate. The Hurt So Bad from this show had me welling up!)
  18. Damn, I saw the topic title and was hoping to read some good news
  19. Some oldies are forgotten for a reason.
  20. Yeah I was talking to him tonight actually Nev, he's coming down here work-wise next week so he always comes round for a beer and a record session. Feel free to come with him anytime!
  21. Yeah you outbid me you tw*t
  22. Maybe, but that's what I usually sell it for so that's how it stays...presume everyone knows this sneaked out on UK Contempo as well?
  23. Anglo had a shedful of these. I'd say £25 is a pretty accurate price but it books way higher so people aren't going to sell it that low. I was going by what I'd seen it for recently.
  24. £30 issue £50 demo
  25. Doesn't really affect the prices of reggae/ska records Dave because people are happy to get the record in any playable condition usually.
