  1. Not really, I've posted that track up twice to a rapturous reception and also the label scan from the UK trojan issue (which is 10 or so seconds shorter than one of the Jamaican blanks I've got of it) "Out Of Love" - I had no idea it was a cover. I'll post it again.
  2. RESULT!!! Dear mayfairmenthol (petesmithrecords@hotmail.com), Please be aware that the following auction-style listing: Item Number - 160043164862 Item Title - NORTHERN SOUL CLASSIC has been removed by eBay for breaching of one or more of our policies. Any offers or bids placed on this auction-style listing are now null and void. You don?t have to complete the transaction. For privacy reasons, I can't tell you exactly why the item was removed.
  3. Ha ha...and nobody spotted it! Nice one.
  4. This is the last Little Anthony clip I'm putting up, it's all from the same show, which I would thoroughly recommend watching, it features loads and loads of late 50's and early 60's including The Rays, Bobby Lewis, Little Richard, Ed Townshend, Lenny Welch, Frankie Ford, Jay & The Americans, Lou Christie, Joey Dee, The Limelights, The Contours, The Reflections, The Casinos, The Duprees, Kathy Young, Lloyd Price, Jerry Butler, The Five Satins, Frankie Valli, The Duprees, The Fleetwoods, sorry can't think of any more but it's a great evenings viewing
  5. Good idea Dave. I'll find his details and post them up. (Can't get the details it's not showing his address)

  7. F*ck me you lot are helpful today
  8. I'll give it a try but I doubt it. I now have an official non paying bidder strike against me.
  9. Don't know if anyone remembers but last week I posted up a link to a record I'd bid on, Bobby Treetop, asking if it was real, I'd asked the seller and he was very vague - as was his blurred photo. Anyway John Manship confirmed it was a fake, by which time I'd already won the item. I told the bloke I wasn't going to pay for it as it is a counterfeit, and total low and behold he has issued a non paying bidder complaint against me. I have reported it via email to ebay as a counterfeit but they have made no response. Also the fact that it was obviously shill bidded up by 20 quid by a mysterious bidder. Anyway what would you do, ebay don't seem too interested to be honest and I can't get phone support as I have slipped from gold power seller to silver! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N%3AIT&rd=1
  10. From Sean Chapmen's latest list (sorry Sean) Jades - Hotter Than July - Virtue - Stinking Northern - £30 And surely this is a mistake?? An extra zero on the end? Johnnie Sayles - I Can't Get Enough - St Lawrence - Massive!!! - £100
  11. I only use clips directly from the records I'm selling - thats why I bought a usb deck
  12. Right On is the instrumental version of Van Morrison's "Domino".
  13. Tone - note that the title I gave and the proper one are both tracks off the Trojan compilation Reggae Flight 404. I've honestly never seen one with the proper label credited, though I've actually only had it twice (still got one now)
  14. Just to confuse things - if you want to buy the above on UK (Explosion), the actual label says "Gawling Come Down" by Lloyd & Robin. No mention of Monty Morris or the real track.
  15. Who made it for the northern scene? Never heard this story. And why would a US company aim at such a small market. p.s. this record is worse than most of Levine's efforts
  16. You're right Steve. No way is Val McKenna a tailor made, it was a legitimate UK release in 1970
  17. Not quite, he re-edited it and put it back together in a different order which actually sounded better than the original, if you remove the controversy and just listen to it on it's own merits, it's a brilliant record, the man is mad genius
  18. Tone, I've sent in a scan of Cunter Punch previously, must have sold a few copies as there's one on ebay every week...never actually heard it though
  19. I think I've removed all sold records from the original list above, anything that's left, now £3 each (minimum order 3 records)
  20. Yes, it sounds sophisticated
  21. I'd love to know how they get this cctv footage. Half of it has been used in court cases, how does it get into the public domain? Anyway back to the record looks like the label was owned by Frankie Ford of Sea Cruise fame....
  22. It's a temporary one while I'm working on a new dvd
