  1. I have some info on him. He made one of the worst records of all time, Say Something Nice To Me.
  2. I actually got that off Ebay. Sometimes it's as if records are invisible to other bidders - like that Dean Courtney MGM stock copy, there were only 2 bidders on that, I got it for something like £130, I've turned down £800...though I didn't have a lot of choice, I'd already promised it (to the same guy) for £200
  3. Can't remember mate. £125 or something like that. Was a long time ago though. Bought one for my mate John for £160 last year.
  4. How much would you put on this version of Exus Trek John? reissue with photocopied label stuck on. This guy gets ridiculous prices for records because he puts photocopy labels over pressings. He makes no bones about it too, in his description he says what it is, so no problem with him - but the people who bid on them must have a screw loose. https://cgi.ebay.com/NORTHERN-SOUL-LUTHER-I...bayphotohosting
  5. Are they one sided John?
  6. I got a Margaret Mandolph off ebay in 2001 for some ridiculously low price - it was listed as "early David Gates" and didn't even mention MM in the title listing...anyway, didn't see another for 4 years!
  7. It's not scratched, it's marked - like when it hasn't been in a sleeve for years. I get quite a lot like this because they usually play really well. Even if they played mint I'd still grade them at VG+. See the date on it John - 1971! That must have sounded so out of date by then, no wonder no-one bought it.
  8. I remember when you used to constantly ask me about the internet when you were setting up your website John..now all you can do is mock. Cuts me to the quick. I can tell you one thing about Ebay though - not that many people seem bothered about conditions!
  9. Books at £250 - £300 - condition vg+ plays EX. Fair price would be...what, £125?
  10. There's a copy of Exus Trek on Ebay almost every week and they never make 50% of those prices...I bought a green styrene one for £150 about 6 weeks back. What about the version below...£151
  11. I would have to disagree. I'm sure I've had a real one. They couldn't counterfeit the raised X in the run off.
  12. Bit more 70's stuff for you
  13. Really? You should have said!
  14. I guess there is: green styrene white styrene demo green vinyl white vinyl demo orange 72 Atlantic press never heard of a yellow one Ken then there's green vinyl bootleg (poorer sound than original with indented X in run off, original has raised x) orange label bootleg (shit quality with HIB in small letters at the top of the label) John Manship will be able to add or subtract from this list
  15. Look out for a terrible quality bootleg on orange HIB, makes no attempt to look like the real orange one, came out early 80's.
  16. Always makes me laugh when I see the prices people ask for the Okeh single, there is one on ebay at any given moment, it must have sold boatloads!
  17. Yes and no...it was an untampered one. I agree with Netspeaky, couple of years, this will be massive. And why not.
  18. Yes one of the original batch
  19. I know you're pulling my leg but everyone's missing the point which is - it's just a great little record. Like Sister Sledge - Thinking Of You, wish I had a video of that.
  20. I know it made the top 20. So did a lot of the Temptations tracks I sent up, the Candi Staton, the David Ruffin. What difference does it make, all I said was I liked the record, and I'm gonna post And The Beat Goes On by The Whispers in a minute, that'll make you choke on your beansprouts.
  21. Ah, so it'll be in better quality. Still great though.
  22. First time I've seen that happen. OK I'll upload it myself and make it available.
  23. I would have done one for you but I posted it off today, it's a bizarre track, made to sound like a live performance and the singer coming on stage and going "hi"!
