  1. Confused here, are you talking about the official A side to Marching Steve? Because Marching is obviously on that 45 as a filler which they got from elsewhere just to put a record out as it's an Ashford/Simpson/Armstead session.
  2. You sold stuff to me though!
  3. I live just south of Wolverhampton where South Staffs, Worcestershire and Shropshire all meet.
  4. I sold an issue about 8 years ago, on here I think....very very rare. I like it, the vocal appeared on Kent eventually but I think I prefer the instrumental.
  5. he should have been offered at least double that
  6. STUDIO ONE MIXED UP MASH UP Okay I'm not quite sure how to describe this, it's multiple mashups and remixes of classic Studio One rhythms, mixed in with a bit of hip hop and some rare Rocksteady original 45's...it's actually quite a good mix, though fans of the originals may take a while to get used to the new versions - not that recycling old classic Reggae backing tracks hasn't been around since the dawn of time...the thing is, I think all of the more recent stuff really shows it's roots so it's not that much different to one of my usual 60's mixes really...(track listing may differ very slightly as I edited it and forgot to change the list I'd already typed up) KEN BOOTHE — WHEN I FALL IN LOVE MS DYNAMITE — FALL IN LOVE AGAIN LADY LEX & THE SUPERSONICS — AT LAST THE RIGHTEOUS FLAMES — YOU DON’T KNOW KARDINAL OFFISHALL — NINA THE SILVERTONES — SMILE BARRINGTON SPENCE — CONTEMPLATING MIND RONALD MERRIS — DANGER IN YOUR EYES SKARRA MUCCI & KEN BOOTHE — DUPPY ALICIA KEYS — YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME JAY Z & LITTLE WAYNE — BROOKLYN SLOW MOTION JSTAR — NO DIGGITY NORMA FRASER — RESPECT JENNIFER LARA — CONSIDER ME JSTAR — STILL PASSIN’ ME BY DEVON & THE SOUL VENDORS — GET READY PETE YOUNG — IF YOU GOT SOUL KEITH & TEX — STOP THE TRAIN (SOULFORCE DUKKU DUKKU REMIX) COURTNEY JOHN — LOVE IS BIG BOI — ROYAL FLUSH THE PARAGONS — TIDE IS HIGH (HOODED HORSEMEN BOOTLEG) LEE PERRY — ME SIR MARLEY & THE SKATALITES — ONE LOVE VERSION DONNA V & SOUND DIMENSION — PULL OVER VERSION LADY LEX — BAD BOYS SUGAR MINOTT — I NEED A ROOF ROY RICHARDS — SUMMERTIME THE OCTAVES — THE BATTLE THE SHARKS — HOW COULD I LIVE BARRY BROWN — GIVE LOVE FRANKIE WILMOTH — STAY WITH ME LLOYD CHALMERS — THINGS GOING WRONG ROLANDO & SOUND DIMENSION — FEELING GOOD CHRIS MACRO FEAT. 7. You sure it was popcorn?
  8. I have a friend in Paris who, when I made a comment about the French postal service being terrible, he told me it was definitely not down to the postal service, which is actually very good, it's because so many people over there are rip off merchants and they give the good buyers and sellers a very bad name.
  9. People sell them to me or give them to me to sell for them. I never go looking for any. I've never flown so America has always been out of the question, plus I'd never be able to get enough money together to warrant a trip. Bought 500 singles last week, cost £6500 am hoping to make £2000 on top of that, have already got the £6500 back by selling all the originals to one person so I have 350 reissues to make a profit on!
  10. He was probably getting a cut!
  11. First time I ever went to Wigan was a real eye opener, on Jethro's coach from Wolverhampton, aged 16, had no idea about drugs and couln't believe it when an almost hostess trolley service was going up and down the coach selling pills, which I politely refused..
  12. This is true, the other night I opened my eyes just at the moment she was pulling her top over her head so silhouetted it looked like a f*cking vampire in the doorway...
  13. Yeah I did mate, I replaced them with a pair which are the same, no apologies from the sop though, they look at you as if you've done it! Terrible customer service. Anyway I have to say the results are remarkable. I put the ipod on random and it played, of all things, Rock On by David Essex - it sounded like a totally new record that I'd never heard before, just couldn't believe the hidden detail it was bringing out. Playing Dub nearly takes your head off with the bass. So as a sceptic, I have to say you really do appear to get what you pay for.
  14. Tell you what I hate most, can anyone relate to this, you go to bed early, lights off, listening to music, then for some reason you open your eyes - and someone is standing there, and you jump in the air and think you're having a heart attack. Or is that just my missus trying to put the sh*ts up me...
  15. Totally agree with you. £50 tops.
  16. It's like an early test press mate, I've had tons of acetates of things that came out on UK Polydor, Pye etc.
  17. I didn't even know John Holt had died. Some fantastic music, especially with The Paragons. Good look with the show Stephen.
  18. I think this is Danny Williams on United Artists
  19. Don't think you can download onto dvd, you'd have to download to hard drive then burn to dvd...I think..
  20. What's that like a pay to view film service? Like Sky box office? Surely not a download to keep?
  21. But what if you were offered to chance to have it sent signed for but declined and were told that it would be sent by normal post at buyers risk...I'm always getting overseas customers asking me to send by normal post and not signed for, of course it had to happen and one went missing last month, he didn't want signed for..
  22. How much was it?
  23. Well I enjoyed the film. Has it got that repeatability that one or two other films have got - I mean, would you watch it again today after watching it yesterday - I'd say no, maybe in 6 months or a year. Beautifully made, period spot on, just not a storyline strong enough to want to keep coming back to it. My only gripe is - why were nearly all of the records pitched up too high, it was not like this back then, the second time they play Towanda Barnes it must be at 50rpm at least.
  24. Was also thinking, if the DVD release had been put back they'd have been able to use some of the review quotes to splash over the cover, not just the "Excellent...Fantastic" quote from Ian Brown
  25. Have just checked and there are now three separate pirates of the film up for downloading, over 1000 people downloading as I write this, and about 155 people seeding. 1000 x £7.99 down the drain...unless of course, people like it and go and buy it, but with no extras on the dvd...(why not?)
