  1. Seriously, what should I ask for the LP, £25 sound fair?
  2. 1 - ST. GEORGE & TANA - WITHOUT MY HEART - KAPP Found mention of this with a pic sleeve in the price guide at £100 but don't have a sleeve with this one. It's produced by Huey meaux and I really like it which means you lot will hate it and say it's rubbish 2 - SONNY FOREST - TRAVELLIN' - VERVE A fast r & b ish type sound with girl backups, vocalist is not great though, just wondered if it were known really 3 - THE UNIVERSALS - LOVE BOUND - FESTIVAL Kind of doo-wop soul very much influenced by The Drifters, I'd say this was from about 1960 4 - GERALDINE CURRY & THE HEARTSTOPPERS - YOU'RE SO WONDERFUL - LONDON HOUSE I had this in my junk pile but it was on Soul Bowl's list for 200 this week, also on John Manships site for the same price, this copy is VG+ looking, plays way better, probably take 60 quid for it if anybody wants it 5 - G.L. CROCKETT - LOOK OUT MABEL - CHECKER DEMO This is more or less out and out rock & roll but it's fantastic - was just wondering about a price as John has a repro for £15 so wondered what an original DJ copy would be worth. Fantastic record...
  3. Nothing to do with me by the way...
  4. I can point you to a mint demo for £200. Last one I had went for £125 though. Horrible record, the worst sort of thing that Stafford threw up.
  5. There's a George Smith issue on Craig Moerers site at set-sale price mate. Can't remember the price. Whatever it is, it's too much for that turd.
  6. Also the nose is exactly the same shape and he has those pronounced lines on either side of his mouth coming down from the nose
  7. This is a stunning mint demo of ERMA FRANKLIN - I GET THE SWEETEST FEELING / WHISPERS - BRUNSWICK 755430. Bargain - £75 to you squire, whoever you may be. 4 wheel drive car to support.
  8. Was that on UK? Mojo or something?
  9. Asking if I'd got any footage of his old man...don't think I have though. I never know what to say to these people. Joe Matthews grandson also wrote to me. Asked him if he'd got any copies of the Kool kat 45. never heard from him again.
  10. Thanks chaps. Think it was $6 buy it now.
  11. What link - it goes to an under construction home page and the you click reissue 45's but no link to anything???? Baz if you don't know where most of these come from you must be the only one who doesn't...
  12. I wouldn't have thought so Sean. I usually get offered these when they come from a particular source and I didn't know about these til they turned up on Ebay.

    Trout Want

I remember this group...Tom Tom Turnaround was their best.
  14. Who's that, Dennis Leary? I'm thinking of Steve Martin.
  15. Don't you think it looks like him - look at the photo then scroll up to the still from the video
  16. Have a look at this clip of The Ok'Kaysions (yes, I know I've posted it up before) but take a good look at the lead singer when they do a close up. Imagine him having his teeth done. Right, who does he look like?? Comedian and Hollywood star. or is it my eyes??
  17. Have you all heard this version, same as the unissued Motown track by (Tammi Terrell?) anyway I used to have it on an acetate with no artist listed but it's definitely the Three Degrees and it's almost identical to the Motown version. I think it's only on this LP, is it worth anything?
  18. It gets automatically resized mate but as I only keep the avatars for about 5 days before changing them, it doesn't matter, but thanks for thinking about me
  19. John - I agree and disagree at the same time if that makes sense. Yes, the mint records are few and far between and rightly command the high prices. But it appears to me, and I spend a very sad 3 hours a day on ebay so I see most of what gets sold on there, that 90% of buyers will take a record in ANY condition so long as they have a copy. Sometimes even a cracked record The label certainly plays a big part, but then of course you can have a mint label on a styrene press which hisses all the way through. I think all guidelines have gone out of the window really. I sold a near mint original demo of Paul Anka - Can't help Loving You on ebay in the summer - it made £33! The next week, you'd see it sell for triple that.
  20. They really are shit though. I wonder how Frank Pop feels, his records only 4 years old and someones booted it
  21. "condition is everything"?? I bid $20 on a really beat up Good minus copy of James Dockery last week expecting nobody else would bother, and it went for something like $300...thats a lot of money for a Good minus record
  22. Fancy having a surname like Wildroot and then your parents name you Raven...
  23. All RCA issues are harder than demos, no exceptions.
  24. £50 is about right for this...it's not a hard record to find
