  1. I'll pass that on to him when he wakes up tomorrow, thanks for that. he's made life worth living again...
  2. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ref-11-12-5x-Extreme...tem320060966296 I know it's not soul, but some people - this guy is selling 5 singles, they are all common, the rarest is the beltones and thats only worth £10 but incredibly he has one bid, and it's for his reserve of £250! His last 6 winners all have similar names and have only one feedback each. Ebay are fcuking useless if they can't spot what's happening.
  3. Yeah, it's his first birthday today so I said you can pick any record you like, I steered him towards Chapter Five but he picked up not Mel Britt (I wish!) but The Fife Piper, when we played it he did his little dance which consists of him shaking his head from side to side in approval. Then he burst into tears and filled his nappy.

  6. No I was going to bid on something until I saw he charged an extra $3 just to pack a record. Then I saw who it was and he's a cnut anyway...
  7. I'm not about the postage, we all have to pay that - but he wants 3.00 to actually pack the record and post it as well as the postage
  8. THERE IS A $3.00 CHARGE TO PACK AND MAIL A PACKAGE. Would you tell them to p*ss off?? I would.
  9. Some people are on the pitch...they think it's all over...
  10. Dunno but you may want to edit the title of your posting...have a look
  11. So the worlds most foremost soul collector has never seen it until recently but you're tripping over them on the mean streets of Chicago. Bully for you. Anyway I just sold it so I couldn't give a toss. Come to England and see 10,000 copies of the one you've never seen.
  12. That's one of my posts, if you look to the left of it it leads to a list of other clips and if you click on see other videos it'll take you to a list of over 200 of them
  13. Yes of course you have, and there really is a Bigfoot
  14. remind me to try to f*ck your next sale up for you Keith
  15. Thats Kev Roberts
  16. I've got my Gemm store up and running now so if anyone fancies a browse it's at https://www.gemm.com/catalog/GMV88114/PLANETRECS/ at the moment it's mainly Northern reissues, general soul 45's, ska & reggae, there'll be an update this afternoon with some rare 50's & 60's stuff (Edwin Astley, Thane Russell, Alan Freed etc) cheers Pete
  17. Didn't appear in JM price guide until this issue...I've certainly never seen it before...though I've had 3 or 4 demos
  18. This is Butch Baker - Batman At The Go Go / Robin At The Go Go on St. Lawrence 1010. So what I hear you say? Well until recently, this was not even thought to exist. There are demo copies around, but due to an injunction by the makers of the Batman series, the record was withdrawn before stock copies could be manufactured. Or so they thought. Ask John Manship how rare this is...he told me he only saw a copy for the first time last year when one was found in Germany. Condition is pretty nice. Apart from some minor noise right on the run in, although it's been well played I would still grade it as EX, EX- at the very worst. It has some residue where a sticker was removed and some rubbing of the label wither side. The rest of the label will come off if soaked for long enough. The B side - which is called Robin At The Go Go and not Working At The Go Go like the subsequent issue, still has a sticker which once again can be removed if done properly. All in all a really nice piece which you won't see advertised again for a long time. I'm asking £250 for this one. (p.s. the dark patch to the right of the sticker residue near the centre is where the label was still damp after I cleaned the record, it's now faded back to normal pink) pete.smith@freeuk.com petesmithrecords@hotmail.com 01902 893569
  19. The Masters - I Need Your Love - Crimson - cracking little dancer which Times Square used to have in quantity, I must have bought half a dozen off them, probably disappeared now and £100
  20. Ten to One, definitely...it's got the lot, it grabs you with that instant catchy chorus...the other two followed on it's coattails. You Fooled me is a pretty basic stomper but Everything You Ever must be one of the worst records ever played at Wigan. Someone shoot Alan Rhodes for this.
  21. Well actually I think you're right. I'd have thought 90% more styrene records get damaged by cue burn that vinyl...plus they're easier to break and a heavy tone arm will ruin them for good. Styrene really is the curse of the record collector.
  22. I don't know.
  23. Yes, for about 2 years. Can't believe he gets away with it, why should it be up to the buyer to confirm if the item is genuine? And what if it's not - does he refuse to take the item back using that "you will have to decide" as a get out clause?
  24. At last! That's the one I've got that I can't find. Been doing my head in trying to remember what it was.
  25. Yes, lucky that new guy with zero feedback came up with a £52 bid otherwise it would have gone for £21
