I've only ever had one Hoagy Lands issue. Don't think I've ever seen another. I've had two Dennis D'Ell issues, those are very very rare. One of the toughest I had was an issue of John Drevars Expression on MGM. I've had Bobby Paris from germany, Australia and even a Mexican EP with different artists. But I still reckon the What About The Music inst is rarest UK, followed by Ben E King - Can't Break The News To Myself mispressed Atlantic demo.

Pre Tamla Motown and Statesides are even more intriguing. How about Please Mr Postman on Aussie Top Rank!

Bobby Paris is way too late for there to be a demo. I think the last were mid 1966, Paris is from 68. When Philips/Fontana/Mercury took over Polydor they stopped doing proper demos, as they did with their own labels. I don't think there were any Philips/Fontana/Mercury demos from about 1963 to 1969, only sticker or stamped ones.

Without a shadow of a doubt the rarest British label Northern record is the instrumental of Billy Harner.

Jeez! I've just bought a record at something like $400 and the bloke said he was declaring the full value, so I explained that I needed it marked with a low value and as a gift, so he said he'd put 150 on it. So I told him I wouldn't pay for it as the tax they add on will wipe out my profit and obviously I expect him to leave negative for me but I'll do the same. So now he's sent it marked as a gift and $20.

That's amazing that you never saw it...I must have had 30 copies of this, and the Del Larks, Sapphires, and what was that other one, Goldwax recording...used to buy them wholesale. Nice little series on great Stateside lookalikes. Then again, had 20 or so copies of Love Starved Heart and look at that now.

Styrene is brittle, cheap plastic which is very inflexible and will snap if you were to try to bend it. Styrene records have stuck on labels. Vinyl is more flexible and hardwearing, labels are always moulded on.
