  1. Nice one Gene..still can't get address though...
  2. I've got to send this johnny ross record back but I just can't find the guys address, even in paypal or on the actual auction, doesn't seem to come up. I did write and ask him but haven't had a reply, so how do you get hold of someone's info from ebay, anyone know? cheers
  3. Yes here it is Gene, and as you can see, a lot of thought went into the label design as well I've recorded it off this record, see what you think. Don't get me wrong, I never mind a bit of surface noise but when it's tinny as well...nah. It's not such a great record anyway.
  4. Awful record, burn it. Remember in the early days of ebay getting a couple of these, unplayed in picture sleeves...about $4 each...those were the days
  5. Very good points Brian. In the case of Ruby Andrews, there was a limited, very poor quality bootleg originating from the Cheshire area way back in 1989, so it's been "big" for 18 years or so now.
  6. Can I buy "How"?? I think I had £200 on it at the time...
  7. Mark I've got some bad news for you. Someone has stolen your avatar and replaced it with a picture of Rodney Trotter!
  8. Look after that Rach, I think I only ever did one sales cd!
  9. Wouldn't do you much good would it, he might find out the names of the people who live in your house, then you'd be f*cked
  10. Was a minor Wigan sound long long ago but I think they only used to play the instrumental - in fact I don't think I heard a vocal til the 80's. I think this is a rare 45, I've only ever had it once myself.
  11. I think it's a bit weird that noboby's bootlegged this yet. But if they do, I hope they make a better job than that Margaret Little. Shocking sound quality, dubbed straight off a VG disc with a buzz on it, I bet it was taped off decks too
  12. I saw this on your auction John which was a bit of a surprise really, even more when you said you or Carl had never seen one - I've had two in the last year, maybe 18 months, the first one I was really excited about but a bit deflated when nobody else shared my enthusiasm and it sold for something like 60 quid after four or five reductions - the second went up on here about 2 months back, photo n'all, again I think it only went for 75 quid. I don't think people appreciate how rare - or aesthetically pleasing - it is. Brilliant record too.
  13. wHAT WAS THE STORY OF THE us ONE?? wASN'T IT CREDITED TO SOMEONE ELSE?? Sod this caps lock...
  14. I'm all for Johnnie Mae's version but that other version should have stayed unheard
  15. Oh bugger, I sold that to Max for £5
  16. Er...what about Who Are You Trying To Fool instrumental...What Should I Do instrumental (not back to back)...can you do Karmello Brooks - Tell Me Baby???? Never pressed or booted and huge demand
  17. I'll tell you a really great track that you could put out on a Kent 45 - amazed that it didn't come out before to be honest - the instrumental version of Who Are You Trying To Fool...what a sound!
  18. Anyone want this at £125 before I stick it on Ebay? I'll do the Denise Lasalle at £40.
  19. These people who put "too many to list" are just lazy bastards, I wouldn't buy anything off them on principle, I also hate the people who put the artist and the label but beglect to tell you it's that artists worst release in the hope that you'll buy it thinking it's their one indemand track!
  20. No attempt to list the records. A photo showing a Phil Int 45, yet there's been six bids. B*llocks. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/40-northern-soul-and...tem230074134204

  22. Hang on though, if you ask a record company to put up a track which can be downloaded, they are still going have to pay royalties to the artist, producer or writer...
  23. Now that is a good idea
  24. I really don't want to see this topic get out of hand but I am NOT being deliberately inflammatory here, I just prefer to give any charity money to causes closer to home like poppy day or nspcc. Simple as that. I have no problem with anyone who does totally the opposite.
