  1. Nice first post. Bit over familiar though. "Now try and keep up" ok we'll try
  2. I thought Searlings was the same as this one Dazz...certainly someone at Wigan had this one, remember taking a peep at it on the decks
  3. It is the CD but I didn't compile it. I think you'll find the notes are credited to John Reed. I did them. Or 90% of them.
  4. I Wish!!!
  5. Karen, you know me, I just posted a polite email on the site, I've been a member on there since inception so they are used to a few profanities, it's no big deal honest, in fact it's more the fact it took a couple of hours to type up the list they printed
  6. I did get your message Tone but by the time I retrieved it it was too late. Far from doing 'dad things' like you thought I might have been, I was in fact puking my ring up all day friday and most of saturday, as was the missus, the baby, and both sets of grandparents. Was this 36 hour stomach flu bug thing. Having said that, if you'd have left me a number to ring you back on we might have still been able to do something, I'm not sure when it actually went, I would have been more than happy for you to have it. The Reasons - yours if you want it, but if you could let me know asap would be appreciated thanks pete
  7. How? When you think, it takes over half an hour per clip to get one of those on you tube - have to rip it from the dvd, convert it to mp4 then send it up - that's over 110 hours I've spent doing these, I don't want a medal or anything but they could have mentioned the original poster, that's all. I remember an article on UK soul in Record Collector back in the early 90's, was looking forward to reading it, thought to myself "this seems a bit familiar", and it was - the author had copied it more or less word for word from articles I'd written in my own fanzine! I did the sleeve notes for a really good cd called Cooler Shakers which came out mid 90's, when it hit the shops the name of the sleeve note author had been changed to the person who compiled it!

  10. Same pace as Jive 5 Dave, slightly different arrangement, nice though, very nice in fact
  11. You know these clips I've put up on youtube - I've sent up over 200 rare soul clips now - I've published a full list up here a couple times. Imagine my surprise to find that someone copied the list off here then posted it onto KTF as if he'd posted the clips up. Hardly worth me losing sleep over but what a f*cking cheek!
