  1. Rat Catchers was a BBC series, just about remember it, 1966-67...Sally Sagoe was in the original line up of Eastenders, Tony's wife. God why do I know this?
  2. No, it is, I just couldn't be bothered to click on it
  3. Well yours are certainly all boots Matt! No mistake. Well maybe Don Thomas and Gary lewis are legit reissues.
  4. I forgot to edit those out
  5. Great film. watched it twice now.
  6. Whats with the sarcasm Matt,I'm trying to stop people getting ripped off, like we usually do here, if you think he's in the right then fine
  7. Well I got a reply don't know or care - I was into the music and was not some sad label-collecting geek. Bid if you want, but if you don't, I certainly don't give a monkeys!
  8. Has anyone bothered to listen to it?? It's good, honest...John & Weirdest, Court Davis, Don Gardner, Nomads, Professionals etc
  9. Does anyone think this might be illegal? I've sent him an email "So you can't remember if you bought originals or pressings and you don't know how to tell the difference - pull the other one", I await an abusive email back. But...we have a good track record for spoiling these peoples fun, so if anyone can think of anything else or wants to contact him, please go for it. It's ok if you know about these things but what about all the people who are going to get mugged off.
  10. I think we've spotted this joker before but anyone who puts a disclaimer like the one he does doesn't deserve to have any customers...at the bottom of his description https://cgi.ebay.com/Frank-Lyndon-Dont-Go-A...1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. Anything from 20 to 50 quid. I've got the Len Barry version which uses the same backing track - on an israel EP - don't think it came out as a 7" in the States. Both versions, fantastic.
  12. If you ever went to the Casino, or if you wanted to go but never made it, you'll love this...30 minutes of prime-time Richard Searling, and a couple of oldies from Keith Minshull - from the 7th anniversary - and the legendary 3 Before 8 from the 4th anniversary in 1977. The first part is in excellent quality but you will need to turn the volume way up. Look out for a spine-tingling Barbara McNair "You're gonna love my baby" in particular. The second part is not quite so good quality as I recorded it from the back of the hall on a portable mono cassette recorder, but it really picks up the atmosphere. down the bottom of the page https://www.raresoul.co.uk/wordpress/?page_id=11
  13. I thought it was Fatima Whitbread!
  14. No thats what the actual record sounds like. But in answer to your question, if you get a bit of software called Audacity, you can do what you asked about!
  15. I know but what a record for it to happen to, and I'd got a buyer for it, there goes my 15 quid profit
  16. You'll almost certainly get a decent scan off Ebay, at any given time there are loads of Luther Ingram singles on KoKo for sale..
  17. You've heard it before, it's not a brand new one.
  18. I don't think so. We originally had Like The Lord Said. Then Gloria. Then the new one I got about 4 weeks ago, damn I forgot the title! Then the one I posted up above (which is definitely not on any 45, it's LP only) So Don't You Tempt Me must be yet another one.
  19. Our newsagent sold records from 1978 until about 1971. This was in a village, population then about 6000. I bought: build me up buttercup - foundations blackberry way - the move you ain't livin until your lovin - marvin & tammi backfield in motion - mel & tim from there and I remember my mum buying jennifer juniper by donovan and when a man loves a woman by percy sledge from the same shop. The only really carried top 50 records.
  20. My heart - pete smith dodgy disc - 14717 refosoul
  21. This is a great version, maybe the best apart from Lord Said - it's not by Rodd Keith either (clip below)
  22. Wekll known record dealer and comedian is he? £25 is cheap though.
  23. I once asked a policeman if he could tell me where New Street Station was, he put his hands on my shoulders, turned me round 180% and pushed me forward, I was standing outside it and it was about 50 yards away...
  24. That's just cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  25. It's brilliant, thats how...
