Gloria Jones was never booted as a WD. Pointer Sisters needs to have AT in the run off, by the way if it's an issue, value 60-75 not 100, that was for demo. Micky Moonshine was repressed but doesn't make any difference to the price. Jay Traynor never booted on ABC. Johnny Bragg label colour totally different on original. The Velours is the worst one, the demo is a spot on repro, but you're safe as houses with the issue, providing it's black of course and not blue/gold

He got the words wrong, it should have been "I just can't sing this rubbish"

The chances of me being able to locate a 5cm square piece of paper cut from a newspaper 21 years ago are about as likely as you throwing a banquet in my honour

Blimey, how many do you want - I've got one boxful in here and the rest, I'm ashamed to say, are either in the garage or the loft. I haven't got many later ones left though, mine are mostly 75-76-77 -

Thanks to everyone who's been and had a look at the new website www.raresoul.co.uk and for all the positive comments. FIRST OFF, SOME USED RECORDS WHICH ARE STILL VERY ENJOYABLE AND AS THEY SAY: "PERFECT FOR DJ-ING" ;-) BETTY LLOYD - I'M CATCHING ON - BSC VG+ 200 SOLD Visually has a few marks and scratches but it plays great with only a minor click every now and then. Light background noise to start, disappearing almost immediately, this really would be perfect for dj-ing with. As with all of these records, they are 100% guaranteed. This has the stars label design by the way. SPYDER TURNER - I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE - MGM DEMO VG/VG+ 40 This is a very very rare demo. Plays with light clicks for many portions of the record. Bloody annoying but I might be exaggerating and it's actually a strong VG+ EDDIE FOSTER - I NEVER KNEW - IN VG 75 SOLD Apart from three rotations at the start, this one plays brilliantly JIMMY CONWELL - TOO MUCH - GEMINI VG 45 A rare original but plays with light background noise OKAY ON WITH THE REST... Just as a side note, after the Kent/NME tape came out, some nob wrote to the NME saying the usual, all the tracks sound the same, calling us Northern vikings and all this crap, so I actually wrote a letter to the NME in defence, and they printed it! My one and only letter in a music paper.
-
I've got another one somewhere - compilation of the first two lp's...tell you what the real rare one would be though Dave, kent did one specially for the NME back in the mid 80's, probably not many of those about

Although he does say - this is Christine Cooper...or Vickie Baines -
Dave Rimmer is mentioned in the letter, saying he will be contacted to print details in his magazine. Well he'll then know who sent it. Just call me Sherlock.

I've never seen anything quite like this, it's disgusting. And as ever, the worst part is the fact that they are such cowards that they won't put a name to it so you don't know who's friend or foe. Good luck finding the bastards.

I ended up with a couple of his records, one being Flame & King, just my luck I ebayed it before it got revived and it went for like £18 or something like that. Some good stuff on that tape though Dave, shame the Casino sounds empty -

Yeah I don't have to put it on the website but I'm just not doing it! Anyway, the one I am doing is better quality, has loads of brilliant northern and also several of your weird things so it'll be worth waiting for
-
OK I know what I said but I am having to break my promise, I've just sat through half an hour of the worst Searling spot of all time and there is no way I am putting that on my website - Keni Burke, Curtis, Pages, and a load of horrendous disco type music, no 60's so far, I've scrapped that one and found another one which is a billion times better, from 79 - it includes the very first play ever of Can't Get Over These Memories for a start.
