  10. Anyone heard of this Chuck carbo - It's You - Rex, New Orleans label. It's kind of popcorn.r&b, just wondered if it was known, worth anything? Not bad but the female backing spoils it for me like it does on a lot of these type of records.

  14. --> QUOTE(Mike B @ Feb 4 2007, 07:36 PM) link Top tip Pete - first one I tried it on is now approx 6 inches across with more creases than an unironed shirt - then I realised I'd knocked the temperature up to cotton tried it again on another one on a cool setting and while not perfect is deffo an improvement and as they say is now "fine for DJ'ing " wouldn't recommend it on anything too pricey though unless it is a last resort Cheers Mate! Mike I did this successfully on a stock copy of Adams Apples - Don't Take It Out On This World, so I knew it could be trusted!
  15. I know what you're saying
  16. Anyone?? It's being sold as a second issue so no problems there, but the price just seems crazy for what it is https://cgi.ebay.com/Northern-Soul-DEAN-BAR...1QQcmdZViewItem
  17. --> QUOTE(Mike B @ Feb 4 2007, 02:32 PM) link Any tried and tested tips Boys and girls for straightening warps out of vinyl 45's? Just got a record that was advertised as warp NAP but its got a tight heat warp and the needle skips at any weight.... as the seller refunded my money I've nothing to lose in trying to get rid of or lessen the warp Cheers Mike B Wet tea towel and an iron...
  18. What about the Ashford boots, the pale blue ones?
  19. Stoney Face was another..
  20. To each his own, don't bother me if people didn't like it, I'm not the films producer, I thought it was great. I don't know how to do that podcast thing, sorry, this was my first ever attempt. I think because it's all one long continuous track, it wouldn't be possible to add details of specific artists, but I don't know to be honest, it's all a bit experimental. But I could do you a track list if you like.
  21. Have made my first podcast and it's actually working so if you'd like to have a listen to some tunes whilst doing whatever it is you're doing, the link is below. Don't be fooled by the oldie instrumental that kicks it off, there's some rare bits, oldies, and a few oddballs to keep you on your toes. Includes jimmy ruffin landy chesterfields deon jackson sebastian williams honey bees masqueraders monique and so on https://www.raresoul.co.uk/wordpress/?page_id=11
  22. I didn't know Beyonce was in it when I watched it, having said that, I wouldn't be able to pick her out of an ID parade anyway.
  23. What did you expect, an in depth documentary on the Detroit recording scene of the 60's?
  24. Don't think I ever said that - said it was only half what I asked for, but even that was better than nothing
