  1. The bootlegs are not styrene they are vinyl and are a darker green colour
  2. From Jerseycity 711? If you have, I'd be interested to hear from you, good titles in vg- to VG+ condition apparently, except they are all fair to good and in a truly shocking state.
  3. That is the real one! The boot is much darker green
  4. Be interested to see what people value this at. I've never been able to get more than £80 for it. Fantastic record though (I know it from Wigan though it's bound to have stated at mecca)
  5. Taff sorry to disagree with you but I've said elsewhere on this post, the first episode of Soul Deep was brilliant, the rest was utter rubbish and it got rightly slated on here at the time.
  6. £2 to cover costs and I'll do you one.
  7. Absolutely agree Dan. Floorshakers, Foostompers and Brainstormers, you couldn't get a better start. Wigan casino Story cd's from Goldmine too.
  8. Bump, what's up today, too cheap?

  10. I wouldn't beg freebies off anyone but if they would send us a promo I can sell enough of their stock copies to make it worthwhile for them.
  11. Can't stop, no alcohol night and starting to feel the effects, need long bath then straight to bed...
  12. What an absolute mess of a record that is, horrible.
  13. This is a ridiculous topic. Russ was a fantastic dj at Wigan til 78, that gives him over 5 really good years, if you ever managed to get in just after 12.30 you'd hear his first spot and it was full of current monsters and new discoveries. Very unfair. After that, he was rubbish, but credit where it's due please.
  14. This is fantastic, I was going to say I discovered this but I'd be lying, it was in fact Glen Henning who discovered it, gave it to me, I reviewed it and printed the pic (on UK CBS) and that was that, this was back in 1989. Funnily enough, got one off ebay last night.
  15. Here's a review of it Mike. I've got this, and I find it pretty boring to be honest. Don't know if you remember but this was on one of my dvd's before the official one came out Unavailable at all for nearly three decades, then issued in a VHS edition in 1996, the Rolling Stones' legendary Rock and Roll Circus finally gets the full treatment with this DVD release documenting the 1968 event. The Stones were reportedly unhappy with their performance (hence the long delay), and it isn't their finest moment; performing "Jumping Jack Flash" and a variety of songs from their then-new Beggars Banquet album, Keith Richards is game, but Jagger's preening (especially on "Sympathy for the Devil") is over the top, and guitarist Brian Jones looks dissolute and well on his way to his death the following year. A certain weirdness permeates some of the other musical acts as well: Jethro Tull lip-syncs unconvincingly, Taj Mahal and band were obliged to perform before the circus set was completed and the audience had arrived, and John Lennon's outing with impromptu supergroup the Dirty Mac (with Richards, Eric Clapton, and drummer Mitch Mitchell) is hampered by Yoko Ono's caterwauling, although their version of the Beatles' "Yer Blues" is cool. Still, the Who are brilliant, Marianne Faithfull is beautiful, the various circus acts are fun, and the crowd clearly loves it. The DVD comes with some fascinating bonus features, including three extra songs by Mahal, some lovely classical piano by Julius Katchen, and a "quad split-screen" version of "Yer Blues." Best of all are a new interview with the Who's Pete Townshend and the various commentary tracks added for the DVD--especially those by Tull's Ian Anderson, director Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and Stones Jagger, Richards, and Bill Wyman (who dryly attributes Jagger's reluctance to issue the show to his dissatisfaction with his own performance, not the band's). Flaws notwithstanding, this is a treat.
  16. This is from the Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus film and is on one of the Legends Of Rare Soul dvd's
  17. No I just bid 100 for first bid, I don't usually bid til 5 seconds before the end but this time I want to see who's out there and willing to have a go
  18. Desperately needs the top cropping off though!
  19. Unbelievable! Nice one.
  20. Not if I bid £300!
  21. On the Dickie Wonder there are loads of differences from the one I have a photo of, for a start, the publishers have changed, though it looks like this one isn't a Cemeo Parkway distributed copy so that may be why. I really fancy that one but I'm just not sure about it.
  22. Thats Jay & The Americans!
  23. Just marked whatever else is sold and may consider offers on anything else
  24. Thanks Steve, glad it got there in time for the do
