  1. Its on a white label I think mate
  2. They wouldn't know what hit them - or why. Who cares about Motown 40 anyway, but all that other stuff - and it was so nice when some of these artists contacted me themselves, or their relations did, they thought nobody remembered them and there was no footage - and suddenly they were known all over the world. Not now though. So it's that which upsets me, I mean I had relations of Tony Clarke, mamie Galore, all sorts of people write to me. I sent a dvd to Etta-blooming-James herself!
  3. Pete - I bought both Tracy and Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town...what a coincidence! I still love that Kenny Rogers record..
  4. The plot thickens - the items complained about were definitely the 13 segments of Motown 40. But it wasn't Universal/Motown who put the complaint in, it was these people: https://www.kftv.com/company-8274715.html Dear Member: This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by West Grand Media, Inc. claiming that this material is infringing:

  6. Soul Source didn't host the clips mate, they were on youtube and then linked from there. The daft thing is, a lot of these only exist in collectors circles. I have some correspondence with a guy who was the main cameraman on the Night Train show and he told me the tv company had definitely wiped all episodes and was stunned when I told him I had three full shows.
  7. Love to you and your family and relations Ady. Pete, Davina & little Sam
  8. There's no appeal at all as far as I can see - my account has been permanently closed. Obviously I've still got the clips, but nobody else can see them now...unless they get them on dvd off me...which brings us back to square one really. I stuck all that lot up there for nowt as a comeback to everyone who slags me off for having the cheek to charge people for compilations. You know what also, I'd had around 800 thank you's, got messages from artists and their families - can't even access the old messages to tell them their clips have gone. Anyway onwards and upwards. I'll come up with sommat.
  9. Actually it's more than sad Simsy, that was undoubtedly the best archive of soul clips ever seen, and I'm f*cking gutted to be honest.
  10. Must be because of them taking down the Motown clips earlier
  11. Well thats it folks - I uploaded over 250 clips in the end, they have now banned me and taken down every single clip, so I hope you all enjoyed them over the last 6 months, it made a fantastic archive of 60's soul- all gone down the pan. Looks like I'll have to go back to doing dvd's, they didn't like me giving the stuff away
  12. Amazed to see this turn up on a wants list - I sold this, and the Owen Gray 45 on Venus, both to people djing at R&B clubs but thought they were covering them up to be honest. This is such an obscure label, only 3 or 4 releases, part of Rio/Direct label. Good luck!
  13. Dancing in the street - Martha & the vandellas - 1968 reissue, I was 8 and I heard it played before the Wolves matches, along with This Old heart Of Mine which was even better but the shop didn't have it in the 5 shilling box.
  14. Well I have to say I have no idea really because I'm not selling them, I'm just letting people see the stuff, if anything it's promotion for Motown!
  15. Best download all those clips guys, YouTube just removed all 13 parts of Motown 40 that I uploaded, took me about 3 f*cking hours as well!
  16. I had a copy of Chris Bartley on Vando white demo and the B side had 7 labels on it, each one peeled off easily. Then I threw them away.
  17. There's 5 types of VG. USA Goldmine standard VG is equivalent to our EX, usually a lovely copy. UK Record Collector VG is just below US Goldmine VG. UK Northern Soul VG is a well used record, it'll be typically covered in marks due to not being kept in a sleeve but will play well. US non-Goldmine VG is the same as this. UK Reggae VG is below it's equivalent in UK Northern Soul gradings, more like a G+. Confused?
  18. I thought this would be a good way to spin some lesser knowns as well as the established stuff, and all of the tracks featured are for sale. The track listings looks somewhat jumbled up on the webpage so apologies for that, but the format is artist-title-label-price (in £). 19. This is as good as the Della Reese is bad.
  20. Jenny Wren sold, others still available
  21. If it's Daydreamer, I've posted that up on here in full
  22. Put a snipe on it then
  23. But no US labels operated independently of UK companies in the 60's anyway, they just licensed their product to the UK labels, or am I misunderstanding the question
