The very essence of these tapes is that they capture the atmosphere, I wouldn't want any of mine cleaned up really, when I wanted to hear just the music I recorded them off the top of the speakers at the front of the stage.

Funny Titles..for The Mind Of A Child..any More Welcome
Pete S replied to Gasher's topic in Look At Your Box
I love what happened to it in translation but it's real title is "The best dressed chicken in town", I think I prefer your version! -
Tried selling one last year for £150, had to lower it til it got to something like £80, and that was the rarer stock copy, though I saw it go for over $200 on ebay the other week. So in answer to your question, see what book price is then knock 40% off.
-
Thats a shame cos with titles like that you wouldn't have had to work again for the rest of the year if you'd sold them!
-
Just sidestepping a little, I've got a record listed on this site, last weeks list actually, for £35, someone else has it listed on here for £150. One of us has it badly wrong!
-
Just sold that for £70...
-
No he doesn't, he gets more praise than anyone else, especially from the likes of yourself if anyone dares to ask a question concerning his auctions or his (over)price guide. Why the hell shouldn't people be able to discuss the value of a record? Just because his book says it's worth X amount it doesn't mean we can't have a debate about it.
-
£50-£60 tops, where on earth does £150 come from?

Coming up, let me just record it

Here is part one of a great selection of records coming up in the next few weeks. I can't mess about with these though so please don't ask about stuff if you're not really interested in buying. Some of these records have already had enquiries about them but they need to be confirmed. I'll mark these with an asterisk, if you are interested in the same items I'll add you to the list and if the first person doesn't come back for the record, the second one can have it, and so on. If you want to see the entire list of upcoming records, ask me nicely and I'll let you have a sneaky viewing. Also there are a few slight changes in payment instructions this time so please have a look at these, thanks. They are at the bottom of the page. Come on Tone, not just "some page 3 girl", that was the very busty and attractive to a 14 year old at the time Luan Peters who also turned up in an episode of Fawlty Towers (as the Australian guest who Sybil thinks Basil is trying it on with).
-
Original is orangey-red and is vinyl not styrene like the boots

As you might have seen me mention, I'm going to be selling a pretty decent collection over the next few weeks so I've done a podcast which you can have a listen to or download and hear some of (what I think are) the best 45's. I was going to list them alphabetically so one week I'd do A to H, then I to R, then S to Z but obviously if you see something and it doesn't fit into the A to H section, it will still be for sale. Anyway you can listen to the podcast by going to the link below and clicking on the blue triangle https://www.raresoul.co.uk/wordpress/?page_id=11 p.s. these are complete versions of the tracks SAMMY AMBROSE - WELCOME TO DREAMSVILLE - MUSICOR THE BOUQUETS - WELCOME TO MY HEART - BLUE CAT DEMO H.B. I think that information is wrong, I had the misfortune to see Linda & The Funky Boys at Wigan and I swear the singer was white and I thought they were a Dutch group anyway!
-
John's got a Flamingos Boogaloo Party on his auction at the moment, goodness knows why, stating it's the original 1st issue before being repressed with the same number, but that looks like a 1700 number to me and not the first issue which is 1483, unless it's my eyes.
-
I've got a Gilettes on next weeks list Phil
