  1. This is the other one, even more girl-groupish if you know what I mean, it's The Tri-Lites on Enith Records
  2. Actually I've got another very similar to this and even more obscure, give me 5 minutes
  3. Well I'm happy to sell it!
  4. Came across this record, if you like the early 60's girl group sound you'll love this, it's a Goffin/King composition and I think it's got a real nieve charm about it, northern connoisseurs will hate it but I think it's great...file below
  5. Agree mate, Pageants is brilliant, just sold it actually but have another one of my own.

  7. OK mate if you want to pm us and tell me what to do I shall take that off your hands.
  8. The Bobby Joy is too cheap Mak but having said that if nobodys bought it, I will!

    Steam

It's on the back of Na Na Hey hey Kiss Him Goodbye isn't it - great track actually
  10. There were some footage of Ron Holden up on youtube but it was one of those they removed when the closed me down
  11. Rubbish sound quality on this record
  12. £80 - £100 is a sensible price. Nobodys going to get £150 for one. I just took way less than that on Somethings Got A Hold On Me which books at £250 or something nonsensical
  13. £20, mint if you want it
  14. I've got Darlene's autobiography (signed!) and she mentions it was meant to come out as a single but Spector changes his mind at the last minute.
  15. Think you're being a bit harsh, this has never been a £15 record really, I'd ask £40 for a US original. Sound quality on the bootleg is poor by the way, dubbed off a scratchy disc.

    Manship

    I prefer Rain
  17. £40 if anyone wants it and I'll throw in a free paper sleeve
  18. For $220 it should be a UK demo not a US one. The US one is worth no more than £50. They turn up on ebay every single week, I know, I usually buy them.
  19. Oh my God, I bought about a dozen copies of this off a bloke about 3 years back because it was booking at about 60 quid, I couldn't sell any of them and I eventually sold them off for 15 quid each.
  20. James is putting too much emphasis on the importance of the DJ himself. This isn't like the dance scene where the DJ's are bigger stars than the records, it's the opposite, and if one DJ falls by the wayside there are always several waiting to take over. There are absolutely no DJ's in this country who, by their appearance on a bill, would make me travel to hear them play records I can hear at home. And there aren't many tracks that I can't hear at home, even most of these 'exclusives'. But if the music policy was right e.g. no modern or 70's, good lesser known oldies, some current top sounds, then that would make my mind up. Having said that, I think I would make an effort to go see Ian levine.
  21. Charge £6 Dan, should cover it (small packet, international signed for)
  22. No, not in the same way that you do I guess, I hear a record lets say for example The Inspirations - No One Can Take Your Place and it'll remind me of Richard Searling or even say Garnet Mimms, actually reminds me of Keith Minshull but the key word is remind rather than associate because as I said earlier, everyone had the same records more or less. Don Gardner for instance, the first person to play this at Wigan was Pep but it's associated with Richard. Don't think it makes a lot of difference and a the end of the day, these people have no rights over the records, they are just lucky enough (or rich enough) to have a copy
  23. I associate it with the person I first heard play it - ian levine - and then any Tom Dick or Harry who played it down our youth club. I was\astonished to find this was in demand, in a parralel universe I was still selling this for a fiver as I thought it was mega-cmmon, and I'm only talking about 3-4 years ago
  24. You did hear it at Wigan Rod and wait for it - it was played exclusively by - Russ Winstanley
  25. You have my complete sympathy Mike, as you might remember, I got done for 3 records - $100, claimed via paypal, guy had been kicked off, paypal didn't evend eal with my claim or my complaint against them. They are f*cking useless and the sooner we get a new system for this sort of thing the better. Previously I'd been robbed of over £200 by bastards using the same tactic as the guy did against you.
