  1. Double that mate
  2. No, I am on apple juice tonight Steve and starting to feel the effects of not drinking beer (first non-football night on tv for weeks) so I thought I'd get into an argument with someone before I went to bed, but still, what the hell house music has got to do with northern soul is a question I shall be thinking about whilst lying awake unable to sleep because of alcohol withdrawals tonight
  3. They have always, and will always, try to inflict this on you, it happened way back in the 70's and they've just carried on ever since, not happy with having their own rooms to play in, they have to try and force it upon people who have no interest in it whatsoever.
  4. Do you really want me to answer that? You think diehard northern soul people such as myself should accept electronic bleepy dance shite music with open arms? Why? What does it have in common with it's 1967 counterpart?
  5. No but they also released this! /index.p...c=48149&hl=
  6. They did 2 or 3 duets of soul numbers, most of them are pretty poor to be honest, I remember keith Powell doing a version of Fats Domino's It Keep Raining that was fairly torturous too...anyway I looked, I don't have the 45 but you'll easily find one on ebay
  7. Dunno but it's f*cking rubbish
  8. Of course! I knew I had heard that title before. Used to have that, pretty common on Piccadilly, 10-15 quid...I'll post it up when I've found it
  9. Mine's definitely for sale if anyone is interested...can't afford to keep records!
  10. Ah you want it back now my friend, price has doubled
  11. No it doesn't Dave, that's the recording, I was doing it while installing a scanner so it kind of sticks, the acetate is mint and plays perfect, I'll record it again so's you can hear
  12. Don't see many of these...don't see any of these! Looking for £200...condition EX except for very start where it has some minor crackle.
  13. n.b. listen to the clip further down the page, not this one One of the best unissued things I've heard in ages - can't believe there was so little interest that I was able to buy it! Surely if the right DJ had this it would be massive?
  14. Sold...
  15. This list now fully updated and ready to go
  16. THE EMBERS - WATCH OUT GIRL - MGM DEMO M 200 Best copy of this I've ever seen - totally mint and probably unplayed
  17. Oh yes...Steve "Boney" M p.s. are there two Peggy Gaines 100 club singles?
  18. I had one today on vinyl but all others I've seen are on styrene...both legit
  19. I've never heard of the ep's being demos - proper red and white? If so, must be worth 150 upwards. If just a sicker - no difference
  20. Came out in the USA as well - looks weird seeing a Jayboy import
  21. I spoke to Gary Holliman on friday and he said it was too expensive at 80 and should be 60, I listed it at 80 anyway and to be honest I could have sold it half a dozen times, but I'm gonna wash my hands of it anyway so it makes no difference now
  22. It's not better than the Fi dels or Jimmy Conwell or The Sheppards but it is great
