  1. Orange label is actually Soultown, a very early bootleg.
  2. That can't be why they are doing new titles every 3 months, because it's so hard to sell them? You are way out on your figures. Titles from that batch that included Terry Callier, Bill Harris, Soul Bros 6, there was a thousand of each of those pressed, granted you still see them around and I've still got some left but they must have sold a good 600 of each title. The Motown things, baby A GoGo, Gladys Knight, 400 of each pressed, every one sold..
  3. Really?? Never knew there was another version (except pj proby)...whats it like? Did anyone ever have that male version of Now You Got The Upper Hand?
  4. Not quite true Paul, as I would be doing a bootleg I wouldn't be paying for any remastering, they would be on white labels, and I wouldn't be paying any royalties so that would knock the costs down a bit, and then I'd charge the mugs £10 a time.
  5. No I'd already worked that stuff out but once tats paid - £300 or so - your singles cost like 40p and the profit is humongous. Right, what shall we press first??
  6. My copy was f*cking unique then eh? So now I have to go through all my Parlophone and Columbia listings to see if I can recall what the recorded produced in Ireland actually was! All I remember it was the B side to a well known A side.
  7. Up to 500 records 38p per record and they sell for what, 5 to 10 quid each???
  8. The bloke who I started this topic about told me he hadn't got time to queue in a post office to get items registered, and he's ok because paypal will cover anything that goes missing...except they won't, unless there is proof that they were sent! It's a shame because he has another nice batch of stuff on ending today and I'd probably have bid a few hundred with him but not if he can't guarantee they will arrive
  9. I was thinking exactly the same thing...done by an 8 year old on microsoft publisher
  10. Are these new? Ike & Tina Turner - Dust my broom b/w Steinways Rose Battiste - Miss my baby/Hit and run Clyde McPhatter - One more chance / Drizabone Shane Martin! few more... https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZcollsrecordsQQhtZ-1
  11. You should have offered more than 12 quid then
  12. This must be a contender for worst ever cover-up name along with The Phantom Janitor
  13. Fantastic music, I mean truly fantastic music "She's already married" my goodness! - interesting interview - all came about cos his family saw that clip I put up on youtube, who knows who else we might have found if they hadn't took all those clips down https://www.therighttrack.org.uk/chuck_bernard.html
  14. I sell it for 6 quid if thats any use to you
  15. Definitely not - Tamiko Jones on Golden World for instance, never bootlegged but has scratched in number
  16. Moved away from sales section as I don't want to be accused of sabotaging a sale! It's rare alright but brilliant? Hardly. And like I said, different version to the one off the LP which is the version most people will have heard
  17. Nobody bought mine mate, maybe they think if it's too cheap there must be a catch??
  18. I've got a bloke ordered a record from me not last monday but the friday before that, so something like 11-12 days ago, no payment by friday just gone, so I sold it. He rings me monday, I tell him I sold it, he calls me a "f*cking time waster"
  19. No offence but who the heck is Leroy Burgess and are we all meant to have recordings by him or something? I've never heard of him!
  20. Seems to be common mate, except these were even more expensive than the ones that you forgot to register, record or address!
  21. Let me just see what the response to my email is first...
  22. I saw the original line up of the 4 Tops at Wolverhampton Gaumont in 1971 or 72, I was 11 anyway, my auntie gave me the tickets, I can't remember much about it apart from the fact that the bouncers made every single person sit down throughout the show and anyone who dared get up to dance was dragged away never to be seen again!
  23. All joking aside, it should be Great To Be Living and it states it's recorded at so and so studios in Ireland, if it doesn't say that then I had the only copy that did!
  24. Whats on the B side John, I'm starting to think I am going mad here, it's an uptempo stomper, if it's not then I'm thinking of a totally different record!
