  1. What's the big deal, I've got all of those
  2. Every remaining record has now been reduced, cheers.
  3. Haven't got the scanner connected but I put a photo of it on ebay
  4. Mel - it's 33 years later - does it really matter that I don't like The Carstairs?
  5. Those records that you quote are terrible records. But so is The Montclairs in my opinion, it's a messy ragbag of a record. Having said that, I love Hey You Don't Fight It and wait For me (if it's the same group) but that mid 70's sound to me is like fingers being scratched down a blackboard and for every hawaii 5 0 you throw into the argument about Wigan = pop I'll throw you back an Inspirations or a Lou Pride. If you read back over the Black Music magazine of the time - or the 20 odd page article I wrote about it which is still up on the web somewhere - you'll find that your statement is totally wrong and most people didn't agree with the playing of that type of record. Meanwhile if you say something like Bobby Franklin - Ladies Choice - I love that - Towaway Zone - fantastic - Mel britt etc, love all those
  6. Barry I was replying to someone who made a comment to a post of mine, I am allowed to do that aren't I?
  7. There's soul crap as well as pop crap, Carstairs is top of the soul crap charts, closely followed by Larry Houston
  8. Thought it was the first release but if you say not I believe you. Sure it was something to do with the energy crisis at the time!
  9. UPDATED, THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO'S BOUGHT STUFF TODAY
  10. Ever see the demos of this, they were one sided!
  11. You'd be paying to much, I sold one for £40 on here about 3 weeks ago and I paid £30 for it the week before!
  12. Well I just sold this one without much effort. Sad to see it go though.
  13. Yes I remember that day well

  15. So would I be going over the top asking 200 for that in mint or near mint, it books at 150 but the last time I remember seeing one for sale, I was selling it, and that was years ago!
  16. And I'd say one of the few records undervalued in the price guide!
  17. Make that two, one for each ear
  18. What a record - going to list this today or tomorrow but just wanted an excuse to put a sound file up really...I mean, what a fantastic track this is, the sort of thing you hope nobody buys this week so you can hang onto it for another week! I like Roomfull Of Tears as well but this is better in my opinion.
  19. Fraid not, only the one copy of Candy Comic and photographic proof that Neil was Joe 90! Apparently Uncle Ron chucked everything away, the models, costumes, drawings, everything! (Just to prove this guy does exist https://www.royallfineart.co.uk/ronald_cameron.htm)

    Wanted

This always happens, I put a mint copy up here, reasonably priced, nobody wants it, so I stick it on ebay and lose money on it, 2 weeks later someone wants it! Do people ever read sales lists
  21. Going a bit off topic here but Godz you may be interested to know this: my girlfriend Davina, her Fathers brother is named Ronald Cameron and he's a famous sculptor, mainly does bronzes. Anyway in the 60's he did the modelling for Joe 90 i.e. he made the joe 90 puppets, and Joe 90 himself was based on Davina's brother Neil. There was also a very shortlived childrens comic called Candy which was 21st Century related and he did the modelling for that as well.
  22. You sure about this label?
  23. First person to play Coloured Man - at Wigan anyway - was Alan Rhodes
  24. There's an Al Green album, Back Up Train.
