  1. Honest answer - I'd be too nervous. In the 90's I was asked to go on Radio 1 on a program about record collectors, I passed on it and put them in touch with Tim Brown instead - he did the show and was really good.
  2. Obviously with the Emanons Orchestra getting spins in late 756, everyone presumed there must be a vocal but like you Dave, I didn't hear it - or even hear of it - until the 90's. You sure it was this one Jerry?
  3. Rachel I think you should close this poll and start a new one because everyone is obviously going to vote for the I'm Pete Smith choice because a) they admire my impeccable taste in music and they are jealous of my good looks and hairstyle
  4. Ring or email this lady ok Hi, I produce a drivetime radio show on U105 in Belfast. I read a piece in today's Sun about how certain northern soul singles could be worth quite a bit of money. I'm trying to find someone that we could have a chat with about this at 5.15pm today and was wondering if you could help? Or suggest someone that we might talk to? I can't find any contact details for Steve Snow, he's the guy quoted in the article and I wondered if you had any connection with him? I'd appreciate any help you can give me, Many thanks, Laura Laura Darragh Content Producer U105 02890 262256 laura@u105.com
  5. If I had it, I'd do it! Was thinking of something along the lines of a suicide frisbee from the top of the Clee Hills for that one
  6. Glad it met with your approval Your Majesty
  7. I'll try and answer it then. 67-68. Coinciding with Motown moving to the West Coast in fact.
  8. No the timespan was more likely a matter of months between Mr Levine playing it and the pink ones being on sale in 75
  9. World Column??? A MONSTER of a Northern Soul classic if ever I heard one
  10. Yes it's a portable sander, for sanding down doors, window frames, crappy 70's records
  11. No strictly true Jamie, it's the only real issue - the bootleg is the vinyl white demo, the pink ones are real. albeit they were probably pressed a while after the proper white demos. By the way, I didn't accidentally break the record, I deliberately smashed it, but that was because it hissed all the way through and was unsellable. Even I wouldn't be daft enough to smash something I could get 40 quid for. It did feel good though
  12. It was actually me who told him it was a repro Joe and that I might have a 'little' snipe on it
  13. Thank you Steve. Today Carstairs is going to attempt to leap through a ring of fire - with disasterous results!
  14. Get a sense of humour you miserable git.
  15. I went to put a snipe of $53 on a record last night, I got up this morning and I'd accidentally sniped £533 and I won a record I didn't even really want for $292 (I've already got it and posted it on here a couple of times but lent mine out and haven't seen it since) https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=016 ok so any ideas how I get out of this one?
  16. See the two replies above!
  17. See he says 'not an original' https://cgi.ebay.com/45-rpm-PATTI-THE-EMBLE...1QQcmdZViewItem thought the red A's were original, does this mean it's been booted again or he just coloured one in!
  18. The clue is in the number you quote (101310) this dates it to late 76/77. There's a list of these delta number dates around somewhere
  19. It's a bit like a white demo I've got, Lee Dorsey - Working in the coal mine on Amy WD - obviously not a rare record but I can't remember seeing another white demo of it.
  20. I thought it might be a bad idea to let me 18 month old son have a real hammer
  21. Come on Nev, its utter utter crap and it sounds like the Four Freshmen on a bad day! No offence like.
  22. I'd take a chainsaw to that!
