  1. Thank you Stuart, much appreciated
  2. I think all that footage is on a dvd I used to called, ahem, dancers, which I used to give away free when anyone bought NS on DVD vols 1, 2 and 3 as a set. It's about 2 and a half hours of various nighters including that one, 100 club, bradford etc. I can do all 4 for a tenner now if anyone wants them. (the other 3 feature all the tv clips documentaries etc). This is not a sales pitch by the way, I'm not bothered about selling dvd's nowadays but can do if required!
  3. Could someone send it up here for me please (not pm) much appreciated

  6. Must have imagined all those recordings made there before that then...should I have said "when Motown started using production facilities located in Los Angeles which were influenced by psychedelic rock music"

  12. 111 votes at the time of writing that, 49 of those did not vote for the "I like it" option so I'm not on my own here
  13. No it's Sam, my little boy. He likes george Freeman.
  14. I like hundreds of soul records made in the 70's, I grew up with them - Al Green, Invictus label, detroit Emeralds, that sort of stuff and they are fantastic still. But you're asking about 70's records and Northern Soul and there's only a handful I like and these are throwbacks to the 60's sound, which for me, is the true sound of Northern Soul, not some disco record made in 1975. This usually brings a retort of "narrow minded" "blinkered" or "donosaur" but it's always from the 70's lovers, trying to force their views and their crap music on people who have no interest in hearing it. You don't hear of 60's afficionados trying to worm their way into modern rooms and get them to play 60's music.
  15. Yes, I only ever see it on pale green, the dark green looks the exact shade as the Barbara Mercer on Sidra label doesn't it
  16. I said that above..
  17. Read the whole topic you silly sod, I didn't run it over, I placed it there.

  24. Hold up, I'm missing something about the footwear here, is this because I was wearing a pair of cheap trainers about 18 months ago I would refer you to try and find a post called The Curse Of The Chandlers and you will discover why I was not wearing my usual everyday footwear
