  1. I'm not opening nothing til you stop saying tread instead of thread
  2. They - the people who have their own modern soul thread - where did I say they knew nothing about soul music?
  3. Because it's not funny, it's just annoying, why can't you just leave the topic alone seeing as it was going really well
  4. Oh dear, did you not see someones selling hundreds of Monzas records in the sales section.
  5. Thing I remember about those days, we used to go to Newcastle Tiffs and we always knew there was no train home if we stayed late but it never seemed to bother us, hitching a lift or whatever. Totally fearless in those days.
  6. Only joking...
  7. I didn't see one til Tim Ashibende had one in about 1997 but have seen a few since then. In fact he was asking £150 back then so I'm way out, it must be £200 now
  8. The book price for everything is OTT going by the amount of people who sell on this site and have to half the book price to make a sale! And that includes me a lot of the time. I'd rate the GAR issue at about £150 - £175, a few years back it was very hard but there's a few turned up since, I'd never refer to it as a second issue though!

  11. That's a good price - if I hadn't just had one I'd jump at it
  12. You're lucky, mine went for £44!
  13. Who needs a luxury flat in Canary Wharf when you've got a large bell end? (Not that I'd know...)
  14. Two radically different versions there - rumours are that the Goldspot release is just a bootleg but if so, where did they get hold of that version and having had that record - once - it certainly didn't look like a boot to me
  15. If you get £300 for Vince Apollo I will personally pay for that penis enlargement operation that you said you needed
  16. Have to disagree, he was playing way too much modern by then and if you listen to some of the stuff on the early 81 tapes, they really are awful, 12" versions a lot of them as well. But no wonder the place was only a quarter full most weeks having to suffer music like that.
  17. No way - first few are good up til he went in the army, and I always liked that Speedway one where he rode the wall of death! But yeah, the rest are crap
  18. I think she was in "Roots" as well Barbara McNair starred in some awful Elvis Presley movie circa 1968
  19. It certainly is - the boot ends with him shouting "I wanna know Lord" and it's dead, the orig carries on with "whats happening to your people" and then it goes gospel. The version on Goldspot is different to this one in case anyone didn't know. Very similar, but a different take.
  20. Also the original spells his name as Kenny. The boot spells it with an "I" instead of a "Y"
  21. I'd say it was the same artist though Thorsten - both from the Nashville area and Rodge Martin was introduced as Roger Martin on The Beat show, which also came from down south
  22. I sold a Groovers on Minit yesterday and I am already expecting it back! It is a very poor quality pressing.
  23. Now updated, might listen to offers on some of the other stuff seeing as I'm in a good mood
  24. He was arranger on a lot of those records I think - may even have co-wrote it
  25. No mate I didn't want either really but thanks for making the effort anyway!
