  1. You never know, this might be one, I'm 3 tracks in and it sounds like the same record all the way through, and no one has spoken yet, I'm telling you Mark, this is making my ears bleed, the things I have to go through for you lot. And there's 3 hours of it!
  2. OK I'll do it, but someone will have to go through it and do the track listing though.
  3. No but I was listening to it and it was kind of like soul destroying, to think what it used to be like and it had come to this - you really need to hear it to know what I'm talking about - lots of them seemed like endless 12" versions as well and I'm thinking, if I'd have been there I would have made a vow never to go again. Fortunately, it closed down the following month. There's two C90's, maybe the second one improves, I never got past side 1 of the first one.
  4. I'll tell you what, I'll record the lot for you and send it to you by WeSend and you can download it and listen yourself, you wouldn't recognise it as a Northern Soul DJ spot!
  5. I've got a tape recorded two years after this, just before the Casino closed and I was going to put it up but it is unlistenable, after 90 minutes I think there had been 3 sixties tracks, the rest was modern crap, and he was so bored he couldn't even be bothered to introduce anything on the mic - one of the worst spots I've ever heard unfortunately.
  6. Yeah someone got a real bargain with John Drevars...another mental case paying over three times what it's worth. The issue is twice as rare and is worth £300 tops.
  7. A brilliant fake but one thing wrong - the title - otherwise, it had me fooled
  8. Fifty copies scattered around over 40 years would be very hard to track down...
  9. It's definitely a different label Harry, yep.
  10. I make a living from selling records, obviously I like to sell the rarer items as they bring in more cash but I don't take the piss out of the people who can't afford the original and end up buying a £5 pressing version of it, why would I do that?
  11. I had one the other day Sammy, I don't know what I did with it, it was in a picture sleeve and was definitely from a USA soul weekender, it was a remake though I'm sure.
  12. Recent recording though. GIven away at a soul weekender I think
  13. Test pressing of the demo courtesy of Mr. Anderson
  14. That is a very good question. I'll find out of my web genius.
  15. "25K? I paid £5 for mine on US original"
  16. Agree with you about John Leach, terrible record, always was
  17. Early to mid 70's
  18. If he says it's true, I believe him - but let's face it, nobody makes a run of 1 copy, it's entirely feasible that a couple of copies slipped out before, because we don't know everyone who collects records. It'd be interesting if the remaining stock were ever found though.
  19. John Anderson had FIFTY copies, all found unsleeved. They were sold for £1 each via Soul Bowl because they weren't considered to be in good enough condition. John actually gave a copy to Dickie Watts for nothing, this was one that fetched £6000.

  21. RIP Tony..
  22. So the whole weekend was spoilt by someone playing a record on the £5 wrong label, despite it sounding exactly the same as it's £10 original?
