  1. Do one you tiresome idiot
  2. Well Pat Lewis is still very pally with Ian, unfortunately Edwin is dead
  3. Personally £400 is the absolute tops for this, I priced it at that because it was the best copy I'd ever seen, strangely the person I sold it to thought it had surface noise on it but that's just the way it sounds!
  4. Sold one for £400 about 2 months ago
  5. Yes it's easy to look back on those days with derision in these soul-filled times. Who gives a toss, we had great fun and didn't need to know what colour the singers skin was. I Walked Away is a tremendous northern soul record, I'd even class it as a soul record in it's own right.
  6. The vocal side is also different, when the backing girlies sing the word "Rosemary" at the start, it's followed by an electric guitar riff on the original, on Grapevine they repeat the word "Rosemary" over the top of that riff. Doesn't sound much but the backing appears at different points on the reissue to the original and it caused a bit of a fuss at the time
  7. Well first off I used to have it - it's the dark blue Spark label right? Secondly I used to do a magazine devoted to UK labels so it was reviewed in there at one point many years ago
  8. I'm pretty sure that any sale is a contract and they are obliged to sell you the item, you need to report them mate. How would they feel if you won it for 85 and then you told them you only want to pay 45 for it?
  9. It's on UK Spark and you shouldn't pay more than £10 for it! Or of course if you've been offered £70 for it, take the money and run like hell.
  10. Change the record Mossy, yes we get it, you don't like it
  11. But if you remove the stigma attached to it, it wasn't a bad record at all!
  12. I defy anyone to listen to that and then claim it's not the original drum intro from Wanted And Needed. Oh and something else "Poncho", brand new poster but 3 posts all on the same subject, what do you take us for?
  13. Number one I never said she did write it, number two you can say what you like but it has the entire drum intro SAMPLED and recorded over the top of it, and number three, no I have no idea.
  14. Sorry, I only speak English..
  15. I don't think so...
  16. It might be the date - 11-5-65
  17. This guy is one of the worst on Ebay - rude, obnoxious, and has 105 negative feedbacks but is still allowed to trade. He sent me a marv johnson - with all thats in me, which hissed on both sides for the first 30 seconds, when I complained he said "what do you expect from a 40 years old record"? Well I expect it play properly you tw*t. The name is of course Thuds and go check this link out https://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=thud...by&ref=home
  18. You ever got rolled by the people on your own coach?
  19. Yes it used to take a lot of skill and knowledge gained over the years, now all one has to do is pick up a book (and then be disappointed that you only get half of what it's listed for!)
  20. Sold an issue of The Strides for £150 few months back - definitely worth more than that but no takers. Marj Black £75.
  21. I'd query that figure as there are a lot of Go Now's on Red Bird around, unless they became available after the record was deleted
  22. No, not just you - everyone on this thread! It just really shocks me that's all, Brand New Faces isn't even a proper song, it's just some people telling you their names - it's good, but I'm just surprised thats all.
  23. I like Brand New Faces but come on, you are comparing it to Jimmy Burns, are you all f*cking mad or something?
  24. No I can't and I said that near the beginning. It is a strange set of affairs. The scene is shrinking faster than one of my jumpers after my mum did the washing. I sold one record today! One. As for cd's - I doubt if Goldmine cd's now sell more than 400 copies a time nowadays
