  1. No what I mean is, it's impossible to see all lists...
  2. There's a full explanation about these tracks on the Kent Mirwood cd's sleeve notes. Let Me Do It is actually called I Want To Do Everything For You Baby
  3. How do you know?
  4. I always thought people advertised do's as "Northern Soul & Motown" nights in order to attract normals and handbaggers - middle aged couples who think they are going to hear Jimmy Mack. We had some people like this when I helped Craig with the 44 club, advertised as soul and motown night, loads of girlies turned up and asked when we were going to play any Motown, despite loads having been already played which they didn't know (e.g. Vows, Eddie Holland, Carolyn Crawford)
  5. I've got loads of them but I don't want them. Is anyone around who'd want them at say 5 to 10 quid apiece...I will make a list...all proper 60's stuff, Barbara lewis UK Atlantic, Shirelles Stateside, Elgins VIP, Mandrill, Impressions HMV, Bobby Hebb, Cook E Jarr, Gladys Knight UK bell and so on. Not sure how many, probably 50 or so. Wouldn't split though, all one job lot. If anyones interested I'll post a list up. OR I'LL TRADE FOR SKA/REGGAE 45'S
  6. This is true. What's also true is that I actually did sell it for that price (actually I think I bought it for 125 and sold it for 150) and anyone who doesn't believe me can have access to all my old lists on yahoo groups. About 300 of them. I don't just say these things for effect.
  7. I thought all of them are white - not arguing with you or saying there isn't a red one - but if there is, now that would certainly be worth £300!
  8. Yeah but unfortunately it's worth half that amount Des! Well it is if you get it off me or Mick Smith - I had one off him 18 months back for £125
  9. Des is right about the had drawn label, it's a white label and someone has drawn a sketch of a "cityscape" by hand, I would guess the person who did it was aged about 8 or 9. The actual record, I think, is absolutely brilliant. The bootleg label is white, done by the same person who did Tommy Bush, Dawn, Donna King etc. Not top sound quality.
  10. which ones?
  11. See I didn't even know there was a market for 12" disco records! Seriously. If there is, I'll go back and buy the rest - they were all 50p each, old shop stock been in storage for years. cheers
  12. Thanks for your help Glyn problem was, there was a box with about 150 of them, all new/unplayed, but I had no idea what most of them were!

  15. Bill, the problem is that even if we could do this, I haven't got the patience to do it all again, because apart from the stuff that is available on dvd, the rest were from vhs tapes. Half of them I actually threw away because I thought they'd be a permanent online archive! I'd be happy to donate the remainder to anyone who wanted to use them but I can't see myself doing it again.
  16. It's on Lovelite, red and black label - note the other Lovelites Conscience is on the yellow picture label, just to make sure we're definitely talking about different records! Not sure about the price because there's a counterfeit, or it's said to be a counterfeit which is really good, I'd have though 30 or 40 for the original
  17. Mark is right - it's the Lovelites "Get him (it) off my conscience" - which is a totally different record the the Lovelites "My Conscience"! Confusing but true..
  18. Now I know nothing about 12" singles and I don't know if any of these are worth anything but I'd be pretty surprised if the Gil Scot Heron one wasn't worth sommat - anyway if anyone's interested just make me an offer, don't take the p*ss though if they really are worth something all are unplayed mint - all are UK pressings BURUNDI STEVENSON BLACK - BURUNDI BLACK - BARCLAY BART 708 12" BOBBY WOMACK - I CAN UNDERSTAND IT / HARRY HIPPIE - UNITED ARTISTS UP 36462 12" (how come two tracks from 1972 make it onto 12"?) AZYMUTH - JAZZ CARNIVAL - MRC 101 MILESTONE 12" LENNY WILLIAMS - YOU GOT ME RUNNING - ABC 4228 12" GIL SCOTT HERON & BRIAN JACKSON - THE BOTTLE - ARISTA 12 169 12"
  19. I mean that is just senseless. The record is worth no more than £125 on a demo. Much more on issue but it's not a rare record. Greedy sellers and clueless collectors, that's what it's all about at the moment when the reality is, get your price guide, cross out every price and halve it, thats the reality. There are not enough record buying people left. Apart from the 10,000 on John Manships mailing list, obviously.
  20. Bit cheap now that...60-75 quid usually
  21. Ultimates sold
  22. Tamiko Jones - I'm Spellbound - Golden World demo near mint £150 Al Mason - Good lovin - Fynal Vynal mint £695 Ultimates - Girl I've been trying to tell you - BR Roma mint £450 PM if interested, cheers Pete
  23. Thing is though, I never changed the settings on firefox and I can't see a setting in the set-up that would make this happen...
  24. Think I've sussed this, it actually works okay and as normal using internet explorer but in firefox it's not working - also for some reason, all my saved passwords have disappeared in firefox too.
