  1. Thought it was a good interview, always nice to hear tales of finding records back in the old days, in fact we even had a thread about it on here a few weeks back, oh but I guess since it's Ian Levine it's not interesting at all is it he didn't really slag of anyone on here except Tim, he complained about Soul Sam and quite right too, awful taste in music. Shame about the carstairs but there you go
  2. It can't be crossover - I like it!
  3. I'd got 50 less on Jean Carter for the simple fact that loads turned up a few motnhs back. Issue still rare.
  4. If I'd done that and mentioned it on here I'd have been crucified
  5. I meant same record but different labels really
  6. Out On The Bumbo Claat Floor by Augustus Pablo featuring Dobie Gray. Sorry, I meant "no can't think of any"
  7. It might be in bongo bongo land where you live but it's actually quite fast here in the civilised world
  8. I need 1 & 2 Mark, how do I pay?
  9. There's actually two versions of this - in the early 70's, some budget label put out a compilation called Twiggy & her Boyfriends to cash in on the stage play that Twiggy was starring in, Beautiful Dreams was on it but it had a theremin type instrument added over most of the instrumental parts!
  10. Me too - made me realise that there was no point going to allnighters again if this is the sort of thing that was going to be forced upon us
  11. Fraid so...47
  12. The 1962 date, you mean the one printed on the label? Doesn't mean anything apart from the fact they copyrighted the label in that year. Apart from that - don't ask me!
  13. Yes it was, on Out Of The Past, plain white label...
  14. But it wasn't a joke! I had that record in about 1975 and don't think I even heard the vocal until it came out on a compilation album in 1985. It was never played, ever. And I still wouldn't piss on it if it was on fire. Well I would, but only the instrumental side, I'd probably throw a damp cloth over it.
  15. That Barbara Pennington record - 24 hours a day - just how great is that record...it's SUPER GREAT! Stands up against any other new releases of the time (1976) and still sounds brilliant. Come to think of it - Running In Another Direction is also great (but not as great as 24..)
  16. Funny this - Exus Trek is one my all time favourite records - but the vocal side, in my opinion, is somewhere between poor and average...
  17. One on ebay about 3 days ago Tony
  18. Hey, disqualified for using a UK label when it said 'no UK labels'!
  19. There was also a group called The Young Vandals. And, by coincidence quite recently, one called the Horrible Little Hoodie-Wearing C*nts
  20. Not including UK labels... Was thinking of Earl Harrison - Humphrey Stomp - came out on ABS, Garrison and Wand.
  21. Sun's out. I'm happy. For a change.
  22. New titles added
  23. It would be nice if he bought me a drink as well Bogue but it looks unlikely
  24. Now sold, Glen says thanks.
